The Xacti E6 sports a range of features to facilitate imaging. The Guidance Display function takes full advantage of the Xacti E6's large 3.0-inch LCD monitor. The Touch Sensor shutter button, meanwhile, brings your subject into focus with a simple touch of the shutter button. And the newly developed SANYO proprietary engine delivers high-resolution 6-megapixel photos and natural-looking movies. The Xacti E6's powerful 3.0-inch LCD features a low-temperature, polysilicon Thin Film Transistor (TFT) with 2.3 megapixels of resolution. This screen is large enough that you can share viewing of just-taken images with friends. Also available are a variety of post-shooting functions for checking images. The 36-Image Display, for example, enables simultaneous on-screen viewing of 36 images. The Xacti E6 offers a great variety of shooting modes that even a beginner can enjoy. Scene Select Shot, for example, helps produce crisp images by letting you choose the mode best suited to your subject. The Digital Filter, meanwhile, can create a desired effect on the image of your choice.

gift giver
I gave this camera to my daughter and she carries it everywhere she goes. She gives demontrations on how close she can get to an object and how clear the details are on the big screen. It is truly amazing. This camera is very hard to find because it sells out so quickly it is always on a waiting list. I was able to find one more for my other child and I want one for myself. If you see it buy it don't wait.

Just about perfect
The Sanyo VPC-E6 is a small, well finished ultra compact 6 megapixel digital camera. With it's large 3" high resolution screen, excellent video recording capability and very sharp photography mode this may be the sleeper of the year. Yes, you can use the optical zoom while recording excellent high resolution (640x480 @30 fps) videos in QuickTime format. The light sound of the zoom motor if used does transfer to the recording though. This is a speedy little camera. Startup is nearly instantaneous and reviewing the photos or scrolling through the well designed menu is very fast as well. The speed compares well with Canon SD series cameras. Another nice feature is that teh camera may be used as a webcam and SD card reader as well. Upon plugging in teh USB cable the user is asked for the feature to activate. Using it asa webcam requires a small tripod because the usb plug is on the bottom of the camera hence making positioning very difficult when plugged in. The card reader function is well done, one can transfer files to the SD card in the camera not just from the camera to the PC. The photos turn out real sharp results though tend to underexpose darker shots. Luckily, the exposure can be set by toggling hte multi-way controller. Very simple and fast adjustments are always at hand. The flash is adequate for fill lighting or indoor photography of a group of people. Red eye is more common than on my Canon but simply toggling the flash to red-eye mode alleviates that issue. Macro photography is perhaps the best I have seen. I was routinely able to capture well focused close-ups just inches away from the lens. The flash cuts back on it's output to avoid over lighting the subject. One issue I have had is the screen resolution when using it in dimly lit environments. It tends to be grainy and lacking in detail but as soon as the subject is focused the display is clear as day. Working with it outside in the sun is where it looks it's best. Overall I rate this camera right up there with the big boys from Canon, Casio or Sony. If you are looking for stylish camera that has a 3" screen, take a look at the Sanyo E6.

Question : My Sanyo digital camera was working fine uploading pictures and all of a sudden won't let me download pictures
Sanyo Vpc-5500
Answer:
You can connect the camera to a computer and have it viewed as a removable drive. It's simply a matter of transferring the images the same as if you were moving them from your computer to a removable hard drive or usb drive. The problem may not be the camera, but the disk in the camera.

Question : What do you think about the Sanyo VPC-E760 digital camera??
I just purchased the Sanyo VPC-E760 digital camera, but I couldn't find any reviews for it on the internet before I bought it.
Now that I have it, it seems like a great camera. But I was hoping someone in the cyber-world has one and can tell me how they like it.
Thanks!
Answer:
I just bought one for my wife for Christmas (we opened it a little early) and we love it I have read the whole users manual and spent a while getting to know the camera and it is very user friendly even though there are still a number of features we still need to learn about it not too complicated or overwhelming. We got the pink one (for the wife of corse). It's the right size and the LCD csreen is nice and big. Other than the battery icon not showing up til it's almost dead and no indicator lights to let you know the battery is charging when the DC cord is plugged into the camera we are totally happy with it. We have no buyer's remorse at all after one of the smartest $130.00 purchases we've made in a while. P.S. the camera-to-TV feature was over the top cool. Enjoy you Sanyo E-760. We Are!
