The Samsung S860 is a high-resolution digital camera that is equipped with a true-color filtered 8.1-Megapixel CCD. This allows the Samsung S860 to take detailed photos for printing up to poster size. With the Face Detection AF & AE function, the Samsung S860 enables the user to take better portrait pictures more easily. This function detects faces and automatically focuses on them. The brightness of the faces is adjusted optimally for beautiful portrait pictures. In macro shooting, it is now possible to take clear, natural pictures. Digital Image Stabilization (DIS) technology prevents the degradation of image clarity and color, which is sometimes found in flash photography. With DIS the effects of image blur are reduced in lower light conditions. You can even take well-exposed, sharper pictures in low light conditions without using a flash at all, which guarantees brighter and more natural pictures. The different icons, scene modes and other features are described in simple and easy to understand terms to improve the interaction between the user and camera. Samsung's user-friendly point-and-shoot S630 digital camera combines advanced image processing technology and quality optics with a straightforward, uncluttered user interface and stylish ergonomic design. The S630 simplifies the picture-taking process to let you capture images without worrying about adjusting multiple settings. Samsung's ASR image stabilization system helps to reduce camera shake and image blur during longer exposures and in situations where holding the camera steady is impossible or a tripod is unavailable. The S630 features a built-in microphone, which allows a 10-second voice memo to be attached to any still image. Slide Show automatically scrolls through photos and displays them on a bright and vivid 2.5-inch TFT LCD screen. The camera's Movie mode lets users capture video in one of two resolutions, 320 x 240 and 640 x 480 at 15 frames per second in AVI (MJPEG) format. Good camera for kids
I bought two of these cameras for my kids. They are easy to use and have a variety of use options (timer, video, still shots). My one critique is they burn through batteries fairly fast, so use rechargeable AA's instead of disposable!

Not Very Good
Had it for months and then it started to go through the batteries. Tried all kinds rechargable as well. Now the pics won't download to PC. DO NOT GET THIS CAMERA......I have emailed Samsung and never get a return...this will be the last Samsung product I buy! LH

not the best, not the worst
Not the best camera in the world, but it is pretty inexpensive. Battery life is absolutely HORRIBLE, I have to change them very often. Good for kids or preteens.
Rating :
Good pictures but low battery life
This a is an overall good camera. Great pics, lots of different options, but the reason i give it 2 stars is because Of battery life.
The batteries on my camera last barely 5 minutes, usually around 3 1/2- 4 mins.. Ive gone through 2 22 packs of double a batteries in the 3 weeks ive had it.
Ive decided just to leave it rather than sped wayy more money on double A's.
Pros: Great pictures Lots of cool options light inexpensive Compatible with many different types of cards Takes Relatively good movies.
Cons Low battery life Lot of shutter lag there appears to be no battery savers option NO VIEWFINDER Just BATTERY EATING lcd screen.
Rating :
OK as backup camera
I keep this camera in my service truck for those broken parts that has little or no description in the service manual or parts books. The NiMh batteries I use is rated for 2600MH and seems to keep the charge for three months.
The truck is cold on cold days but the camera starts right up. When the batteries dies or not work from cold, I use the NiMh batteries from my AA led flash light.
I rate this a 4 star; I need a viewfinder when it bright sunlight and It's hard to focus.

nice camera, but get a spare battery
This camera rocks. I love the lomography camera body style and the anti shake allows for some great night shots with out having to futile use the flash. The only catch was that my battery started to go after about 300-400 shots a day on vacation. So if you shoot under that, you should be good, otherwise, it would be best to get a spare battery and keep it charged.

My dream camera
Please know that I have never taken any photography courses and have very little technical knowledge. I wanted a high MP camera with a rechargeable battery that took black and white pictures. After researching every camera I could find that met my requirements and some that didn't quite, I chose the Samsung NV11.
The Pros:
Without any technical knowledge it was kind of intimidating with all of the menus at first but I downloaded the manual off the Samsung website and the camera is VERY user friendly. I am ESPECIALLY pleased with the Super Macro function, taking close ups of flowers etc it has an AMAZING zoom. I love the video camera function, it'll take a movie up to 4 hours long (my Fuji finepix had a very short video limit). It also came with an a/v hookup so I can connect my camera directly to my tv which I love.
This camera is teaching me a lot too, using different options and functions I can tell instantly on the screen its effect on the picture.
The Cons:
The digital zoom from 3x to 5x tends to grain a lot and the battery life is just so-so. The audio on the video function cuts out when you try to zoom which is annoying but I bought an extra battery and work around the rest, overall I am VERY happy with my new camera!

Love this camera
It's hard to find a good camera these days. They all look so nice and shiny and stylish. At first glance, I wasn't too sure about the Samsung NV11. It looked bulky to me - and old. But in the end, I trusted the great user reviews this camera has been receiving and WOW - I was NOT let down!
This camera is the best! You really can't beat this camera for the price!
PROS:
It's not as big as it looks. Takes great quality videos AND pictures. The screen is really big. Great style! Lots of features. Battery life, despite complaints from other users, lasts as long (or longer) as a standard Nikon camera in the same price range (or more expensive). (I took mine on vacation and it lasted about 5 days of heavy usage. Great zoom! It comes with a USB chord to charge from your computer, OR the USB chord can plug into an adapter (included) that can be plugged into a wall socket. It's really a great device!
Cons:
Well I don't have any complaints at all, really... and I'm a very big critic of everything. I would recommend two counter measures, though, if you buy this camera: 1) Buy two 2GB SD cards to make sure you have plenty of room for taking pictures and videos. 2) Buy a couple extra batteries from Ebay and charge 'em all up before you go on vacation. Works like a charm!
Final note: I highly recommend this camera.

Great point-and-shoot
This is an excellent camera for someone who wants a point-and-shoot camera that has a decent zoom. After looking for months for a reasonably priced camera that had more than a 3x zoom, I happened upon this one, did the research and bought it. Best camera I've had so far. I liked my old Canon, but it was heavy, went through batteries like water and the zoom left much to be desired. This one is much lighter, the battery lasts MUCH longer and the zoom is frankly superb. The Advanced Shake reduction really does work. With my Canon zoomed just past 3x I had to lean against something to make the picture come out. With this, I can zoom well past the 5x with my arms shaking from the effort of scrambling up boulders and the shot still comes out perfect. The huge LCD is great for being able to tell if the shot came out or not. The only con is the lack of a viewfinder. On sunny days, that's a bit of a hinderance since the LCD is harder to see, but the other pluses more than make up for it. Other reviews I read said the menu selection was tough to understand at first, but I found it extremely easy after messing with it for two minutes. Very intuitive and much easier to change settings quickly than my Canon.
Rating :
The finest small digital camera.
Of all the smaller digital cameras I've owned, this is the best. I carry it with me everywhere Unique, good looking camera.
Easy to use. Superb, sharp picture quality. Functions as advertised. Never a problem.
As with most cameras today it does not have a view finder. Framing your subject in daylight is a little difficult.

would not recommend
I bought this to take pictures for online auctions. I wanted a simple inexpensive camera for simple snapshots. THis camera doesn't focus well. I have tried all the settings and different ISO, and shutter, and other options and I can see it focus then settle into an out of focus shot before I snap the picture. It's really frustrating because about every 8th picture is OK.
It also sucks batteries dry in no time at all. 45 minutes to 1 hour of sporadic picture taking and they're gone.

Great Service From Brands For Less
I recently ordered this camera on Amazon.com from Brands For Less. I am very happy with their customer service department. They accidently advertised a camera as new but when I received it it was a refurbished camera. When I brought this to their attention they resolved the matter in a very professional, courteous, and mutually agreeable manner. I would buy from them again without any hesitation. The camera is a little slow but takes acceptable pictures.

Samsung Digimax S630 6MP Dig Camera with 3x Optical Advance Shake Reduction Zoom
Thanked you so much for fast and prompth delivery for my Samsung Digimax S630 6MP. And I give to my cousin as my gift for her passed teacher board exam taken on April. And the problem to her Digital is always changing the battery. In every 5minutes used the battery is gone and it says low batt. Can anyone resolve the problem on how to long last the battery of my cousin digital? Do I need to buy a rechargeable battery? Do I buy also a battery charger?
So If I buy those I mentioned in the above and when I use my digital would be the battery will stay long hours of used in Digital (about 5 to 7 hours)? Thanks, Mercy in Grenada

Questions & Answers
Question : Can I use any type of memory card for a Samsung digital camera?
I want to get the pink samsung model 860 for $99.99
Can I use the SanDisk 2 GB memory card?
Answer:
Read the manual. Go online to the Samsung website and read the specifications.
For starters you need to know exactly which type of memory card you need, and even if you have the right type, some of the cheap cameras can only handle smaller cards.

Question : how to take picture of a moon whith my samsung digital camera?
someone help me??? i want to take picture of a moon
camera i have :
samsung S750
zoom-5.8-17.4mm 3X optical zoom
have ASR (advance shake reduction)
7.2 megapixel
i have paint shop pro X2
picasa
tripod
Answer:
The moon will be quite small with your lenses focal length which is not much longer that a medium telephoto used to take portraits.
Even using my 500 mm on my D300, the moon only fills about 1/5th of the frame.
I don't know how you plan on setting the camera to the sunny 16 rule setting for exposing the moon properly. At ISO 100, you could hand hold the camera at 1/400th second @ f/8 with the camera set at infinity and get nearly perfect exposures.
If you attempt to use the auto-exposure, auto-focus features of your camera, you are likely only to get a white hole in the sky and a lot of camera movement, because the auto-exposure will be trying to expose for the night sky, not the moon

Question : How do you capture color light with a Samsung S730 digital camera?
I have a samsung s730 7.2 digital camera and I was wondering how to capture a great light scene at night? I know how to use the different modes for different scenes but at night even with right mode the picture comes out blury or too bright with the flash. If i am taking pictures of different color lights such as a blue lighting or red or something how do I capture the color in the picture without it coming out too blury?
Answer:
u need a long exposure, and because of long exposure time you may not move the camera, and do not use flash. You will then get the light from the streets lights or whatever else is around... expect to get diff colors, reds and oranges .... get a tripod, will not be able to hand hold at such long exposure settings

Question : Wth is the macro function on the s760 samsung digital camera?
I know what it does but it doesn't seem to do anything here, am I missing something or is that just a scam function?

It is supposed to allow the camera to focus at closer distances. Focus as close as you can then switch to macro mode and try to focus closer. If you succeed then it is working fine.

Question : Can i use a 2gb or 4gb memory for the Samsung NV3 digital camera?
The instruction manual says the Samsung camera holds an external memory up to 1GB, what is the maximum it can support.

It takes SD cards but not SDHD cards. So a 2GB SD card will work, but not a 2GB or 4GB SDHD card (all bigger capacity cards are SDHD)

Question : Change image size on samsung bl103 digital camera?
I just got a samsung camera and when taking pictures they come out HUGE...How do I change the setting so the pictures take a little smaller?
Answer:
NO, no, no, no, no - don't EVER do that!!!
You should never EVER set your camera to anything less than best quality (i.e. lowest compression rate) and biggest size (highest resolution).
The reasons for that include:
1) If you have a good, large photo, you can crop it more later on without losing too much detail if you really have to.
2) If you happen to take the best photo you ever took, you'll be able to print it at a large size. If you lowered size and quality, you'd be kicking yourself.
3) If you decide later you really don't want to keep a big file, it is very easy to down-size it in post processing - but you can't go the other way, you can't invent pixels that weren't there in the first place.
4) Memory cards are cheap, so are bigger hard drives. There is NO reason to do anything less than the best.
