Um, yeah... the $69 sale @ Wal-Mart... me too,

Yes, I stood in line for a full hour in my small little town waiting to get that camera, and boy did I love it!!! It does take some REALLY good pictures and I bought the little case and memory card with it too. It had everything I wanted; a big screen, good pictures, I could even set the lens to record video and take pictures in black & white. But then the day came. [it broke; I don't know what happened to it] I tried to cut it on, but it didn't respond. Finally, the screen came on and it was white and responded with black seizurish flashes. The people at Wal-Mart say that Samsung cameras are the most returned. So the whole point of my story? If you get it, be careful with it. It is a very good and unique camera. I loved it. I ordered a Kodak with my refund money [that I'm going to review as soon as I get it], but if I don't like it, I'm going to get this one again [for 30 extra bucks...] hope you like it!!!

I bought this camera on Black Friday because I needed a camera to replace the one that I had for ebay. I figured that this one, at least, would take average photos in auto mode. However, it doesn't stop action in auto mode and I got alot of blurry photos at a cross country meet that I went to this weekend. The photos of people standing still were good. I also tried using this camera inside a gym to get photos of my son wrestling but that was no good either. So...if you are mainly taking photos of still people or objects (like ebay stuff) you should have success with this camera. If you are trying to stop action....no good. It also DOES NOT HAVE a sports mode so if you wanted to choose a scene with the camera, such as sports, to automatically adjust the speed of the shutter, you can't. That will all have to be done manually (which can be done) but is probably not within the realm of novice camera users. All of the other digital cameras that I have owned, 2 Sony and 1 Kodak, all stopped action in auto (point and shoot) mode. The plus side was that the shot that I took at the beginning of the race had all of the legs blurred and looked cool. Even though I wasn't going for that effect, I got it and it was okay BUT I won't trust this camera again for important sports photography.

I LOVE MY CAMERA!!!

The ONLY problem I have with this camera is the screen gets scratched up REALLY REALLY easy! I would recommend getting some sort of a clear protector for the screen.

Not Mac friendly

This camera has a nice design, the camera itself is great but the media player/mp3 player conversion software is not compatible with the Mac OS. The driver is for windows only. Its a shame because the style resembles the Apple brand, one of the reasons it caught my attention. Also, the buttons are very small and difficult to press without using your fingernail. The USB cable/charger adapter is a great design, one less cable to worry about.
The interface is user friendly as well. If you have big hands you may find this camera to be cumbersome.
Its very disappointing that I wasnt able to utilize the various functions, Samsung has dropped the ball on this.

Great Little Camera

I bought this camera about 2 weeks ago and it had a nice zoom, nd was very easy to store in any pocket. I am happy also with the PMP only thing is that i can not charge and listen which is bad but hey i saved a good penny so i could afford a recharchable battery..

I love this camera

The Samsung i8 8.2 MP was def the best choice, I wouldn't want any other camera. It has such a good picture, even in the dark. I love the new design and the color and that's why I bought it. I am more than satisfied with it's performance and the buttons are just the right size for me. Love it!
