The new Digimax 430 is a compact and stylish digital camera, with dimensions of just 10.6 x 5.5 x 3.2cm. Housed inside this compact silver body is an impressive host of features to give you the results you want. The combination of a digital and optical zoom gets you eleven times closer to your subject. Images are captured on the camera's 4 million pixel CCD to give you clear and detailed results. Preview them in the form of thumbnails, slide-show or even movie clips with sound, on the camera's TFT LCD monitor, or play them back on a TV via the NTSC/PAL connection. On board editing is carried out with the touch of a button. The Digimax has many auto and manual exposure and white balance modes to capture your images in their best light. You also have the choice of many extra useful shooting modes to choose from, created for specific photographic circumstances such a "fireworks", "backlight", "beach and snow", "children" and "landscapes" to name a few!Because the Digimax 430 has a multi-card storage slot, you can store your images on SD / MMC or Memory Stick Duo cards. Download is quick and easy onto a PC and the useful bundled software can be used to enhance your pictures even further. However, you don't need to own a computer to see the end results because the Digimax 430 is PICTBRIDGE compatible, meaning you simply connect the camera to a Pictbridge compatible printer and print off your chosen pictures.

small and sharp
This samsung camera is great, the pictures come out excellent; I compared the quality to other cameras and it is by far the best I've seen for such a good price! Also the mini clips are so good, it's like having a video recorder! And the camera is really small in size, that's a plus! I would recommend it to anybody.

(update) nanual mode works better than default
I got this cam this weekend the pic is good, except one thing the tint is a little bit blueish with flash, the pic looks normal after a while to tweak the cam, found using manual mode, and fine tune to get more ideal effect on white balance part (use manual mode, then press +/- button to AWB mode, then use d-pad to change), change it to sun or high-lighting (the 2nd or 4th), then the pic is more natural, no more blueish on video recording, it don't work well under dark enviornment, the quality is OK, not better than DV (it's avi format) here is my suggestion on using this cam default mode works better outdoors or with flash; using manual mode, with instruction stated above to get more natural pic use 2000mA/h or higher Ni-MH battery, or rechargable CR-V3 battery (it can take 50+ pics without flash) avoid dark enviornment when taking video, and the video player must support DIVX buy 256MB or higher SD or MS DUO card (this cam supports 1GB SD card, at least with Lexar 32x) use "point-shift-fire" trick to get more optimized brightness
after manually configured the cam, I am more satisfied with this cam, at least for the price, this cam is more configureable under manual mode

Great, Affordable Digitsl Camera!
I got this camera as an anniversary gift from my boyfriend. It was affordable, and it looks very modern and sleek. I dont have any problems with taking indoor or outdoor pictures, and it gives a healthy glow to the picture that makes skin, fur, or anything with texture look beautiful. Great for a first camera cause its not hard to use, and doesn't have as many buttons as other cameras but still takes good quality pictures. With most un generic brands of batteries, it takes pictures for a good 4-8 hours.

Ridiculously low battery life
This camera was given to my husband and I as a gift about 2 years ago now (Dec. 2005). This thing has a battery life of zero. From day one, we could only take 6 or 7 photos before the camera died and the batteries had to be replaced (we always use premium alkalines). The recharger that came with it was no help - recharged batteries don't work. My mother-in-law also received the camera then and hers has the same problem. As far as I'm concerned, the picture quality doesn't matter -- I can't use this camera without bringing a stack of batteries with me. Totally worthless.

Excellent Piece of Machinery
I bought this last November. The main reason was because it was on sale but absolutely no regrets. It is a wonderful camera. I had done some research on amazon on one of the top name brands and found that many were displeased with it. Then when I read the reviews on this on, I just had to write a review to complement the already great reviews. The only thing I should stress is that the buyer also buy a pair of rechargable batteries with this. Besides that nothing else for this A material.

worst camera
The features are neato, but the designers forgot one of the basic issues of electrical engineering: POWER CONSUMPTION. This thing lasts about 5 minutes on normal batteries. Therefore almost totally unusable. Very disappointed.

Great camera - when it works
Camera worked great right after we bought it in June 2006. By January 2007, it was slow to open, and I'd have to bang it with my hand or tilt it a certain way to get it to open and turn on. I'm going to see about the warranty to get it fixed.
Oh, it does eat batteries. But we started using rechargeables shortly after purchase, and it takes a lot longer for the camera to eat those... I can get triple the pics off rechargeable batteries.
I have no issues with downloading photos.
That is, when it works.
Edited to add: The camera is pretty much dead now. Granted, I gave it a hell of a workout when I first got it (5200 pictures in the first month), but I haven't used it more than might be typical usage since. It won't even turn on anymore, and I have pictures I need to offload.

Junk
This is one of the worst electronics purchases I have ever made. Frankly, when it did work, it did not work correctly. I got virtually use out of it before it died. I must say I am glad that it died early, because I can get reimbursed for this piece of junk by the Mastercard extended warranty program.
Rating :
Didn't even last 6 months
This camera was worthless. It cost me a lot of money, and the quality was horrible. It took a long time for the pictures load and it had a slow shutter speed. This camera didnt even last for 6 months. and even before that a lot of times it wouldn't turn on right away and I would have to turn it on and off several times before it would start up. It was a very poor quality camera, for a lot of money. I dont recemmend this camera to anyone.
Rating :
Yeah, Junk!
2 good things about it (when it worked) was the Wide Angle Lens, and the LCD is large.
Eventually, the lens stopped focusing upon start up, I would have to restart it multiple times for it to finally work. Then, the telescopic lens just decided to stop moving and not retract, rendering it useless.
I got little use out of this camera. Samsung makes good cameras, just stay away from this one.

I'm on camera #3 now because of shutter problems....
I bought this camera in January 2006. Used it for about 2 weeks and the shutter started sticking, opening occasionally, then not at all. Exchanged it hoping it was just that camera. Now I'm taking the second camera back 4 months later, it started in with shutter problems, not opening again. I thought maybe it was related to battery life...so today I went on an event, the camera was on the charger all night, battery shows full, took one photo and when I turn the camera off, it doesn't close or sticks half closed. Now I'm back to the store where I purchased it, don't know if I can get another brand camera or if I'll be on #3. I love the camera other than that aspect of it. Don't know if I'd recommend it to anyone else, I am VERY disappointed with it.

Bad quality
I had it repaired within 1st month bought it. The image was distorted, and there are many dark horizontal lines through. The service center was prompted though, they told me something wrong with the lens barrel, and had it fixed on the same day. But then 1 month after the repair, similar problem came back. There are many dark horizontal lines, and image is over-exposed. I'm gonna send in for another repair soon. Although the features are good, I don't think the quality is good, especially there are a lot of image noise when taking pictures in the dark. Also, it's quite noisy when you zoom in and out. The image is quite blur at night.

Wonderful camera under USA censorship
I did not see any info for i5 camera and would never know about its existence - do USA magazines censor this camera? I needed a camera to take quick shots of small objects at work. After extensive search, I found i5 sold only in 2 places. Strange? This is free market? Anyway, as i5 is mentioned and praised in US "news" like much worse cameras are mentioned and praised, I feared i5 might be something bad, not worth attention, "lemon" product. Well, I purchased i5 as badly needed for work. Once I started doing pictures, I realized it is perfect camera for me and my co-workers and friends. I regularly share i5 with people around me. i5 takes very good pictures and has amazing macro capability - you can take pictures from as close as 1cm. I took a picturte of menu in restaurant and was shocked to see such fine detail like dots on menu that make specific colors. YES, I can see each dot individually, its shape and color - on printed menu in restaurant! i5 takes pictures without showing big barrel lens that tells everybody you are making zoom in. This camera is ALWAYS very thin. I use pro camera otherwise, that is very heavy and big - and takes near perfect pictures. Still, I love i5 and am very happy with it and take it almost everywhere I go. Peter

10.2 megapixels: The Samsung L200 digital camera gives you more megapixels to take better picturesenjoy the freedom to crop, edit, and enlarge favorite portions of your photos. You'll be able to take photo-quality, 300dpi images up to 8" x 10", and good-quality 200dpi images up to 12" x 16".
Zoom: The 3x optical zoom brings you much closer to your subjectwithout sacrificing image quality. The 3x digital zoom picks up where optical zoom leaves off, stretching pixels to make the image look bigger.

Digital image stabilizer/high ISO: Able to shoot with a light sensitivity of ISO 1600 (6400 in auto mode), this camera can handle less than ideal lighting conditions. Question : How do I fix my samsung digital camera?
The camera is a type where the lens come up when you turn it on. The lens came out but the battery died and the lens stayed put. Sometime later I put new batteries in to close the lens but the lens wouldn't come back in. I looked and found out the outer tube is sorta crooked. Is there anything i can do to fix it without bringing it to a samsung center?
Answer:
have it repaired

Question : What memory card is needed for a Samsung L200 digital camera?
I have a san disk 256 mg, would that work with a samsung camera?
Answer:
This camera uses an SD memory card, you don't say what type of memory card your San Disk card is so I can't tell you if it will work or not.
If it's a small, thin rectangle and says 'SD' on the bottom left then it will work with your camera. If its a square and says 'CF' then it will not work.
Hope this helps.

Question : Did anyone else buy the Samsung D53 digital camera at Walmart? How does Samsung compare with Polaroid?
This must have been a Walmart exclusive because it's not listed on the Samsung web site as a model. Does anyone know how this camera would compare with the Polaroid A700 which was on sale at Kmart? Any opinions on who might make the best inexpense digital camera--Samsung or Polaroid? I do know that the Samsung is very confusing to use out of the box. There are many features but a steep learning curve on figuring out how to use them.
Answer:
Neither.
I don't know how much retailers are advertising these for, but if Canon, Olympus, Fuji or Kodak had one within $100, I would opt for one of those and consider it money well spent.
I use a Samsung digicam at work for taking passport photos and it is completely unimpressive. Polaroid spent a lot of time in bankruptcy, and is behind on the digital curve.
Good luck in finding the right camera.
BTW, if you are switching from a film camera, ALL digicams have a steep learning curve!

Yes there is sound on the camera, and if I send it via e mail, they get sound.
Answer:
Is your camera capable to capture audio? When you play it back in your camera do you hear anything? If so are your speakers turned way down or muted.

Question : how to take picture of a moon whith my samsung digital camera?
someone help me??? i want to take picture of a moon
camera i have :
samsung S750
zoom-5.8-17.4mm 3X optical zoom
have ASR (advance shake reduction)
7.2 megapixel
i have paint shop pro X2
picasa
tripod
Answer:
The moon will be quite small with your lenses focal length which is not much longer that a medium telephoto used to take portraits.
Even using my 500 mm on my D300, the moon only fills about 1/5th of the frame.
I don't know how you plan on setting the camera to the sunny 16 rule setting for exposing the moon properly. At ISO 100, you could hand hold the camera at 1/400th second @ f/8 with the camera set at infinity and get nearly perfect exposures.
If you attempt to use the auto-exposure, auto-focus features of your camera, you are likely only to get a white hole in the sky and a lot of camera movement, because the auto-exposure will be trying to expose for the night sky, not the moon

Question : Can i use a 2gb or 4gb memory for the Samsung NV3 digital camera?
The instruction manual says the Samsung camera holds an external memory up to 1GB, what is the maximum it can support.
Answer:
It takes SD cards but not SDHD cards. So a 2GB SD card will work, but not a 2GB or 4GB SDHD card (all bigger capacity cards are SDHD)

Question : How do you capture color light with a Samsung S730 digital camera?
I have a samsung s730 7.2 digital camera and I was wondering how to capture a great light scene at night? I know how to use the different modes for different scenes but at night even with right mode the picture comes out blury or too bright with the flash. If i am taking pictures of different color lights such as a blue lighting or red or something how do I capture the color in the picture without it coming out too blury?
Answer:
u need a long exposure, and because of long exposure time you may not move the camera, and do not use flash. You will then get the light from the streets lights or whatever else is around... expect to get diff colors, reds and oranges .... get a tripod, will not be able to hand hold at such long exposure settings

Question : I have a samsung digital camera and the lcd screen is cracked where can i get it fixed and for how much?
the camera is only 2 weeks old and the make of it is samsung digimax A503 with a 2" lcd screen.
Answer:
fly to japan, have a great time, take an ordinary camera you are sure of. good luck. I hate didgital cameras, they do not photo correctly. If you look close, you will see. Cannot beat an ordinary point and shoot, mind you, you have to have a mind behind the eye.

Question : How do you set the timer on a Samsung D75 digital camera?!?
Hi! I have a samsung D75 digital camera and I always need to use the timer option, but I dont know how to set it up so it works! Please, if you know, tell me how because its driving me mad! Thank you! Have a good day.
Answer:
The round dial on the back of your camera has the self-timer function. It's the icon that looks like a circle or clock. It has a line through it (or the second hand in a clock). While in recording/shooting mode you should be able to press it and it will give you a 2 sec. or 10 sec. timer option. Then just press the shutter button to get the timer started.
Alternatively, have a look in pages 8 and, in particular, page 27 of your user manual for help in using the self timer.
If you don't have the user manual, you can download it in the link below...
