The Samsung S860 is a high-resolution digital camera that is equipped with a true-color filtered 8.1-Megapixel CCD. This allows the Samsung S860 to take detailed photos for printing up to poster size. With the Face Detection AF & AE function, the Samsung S860 enables the user to take better portrait pictures more easily. This function detects faces and automatically focuses on them. The brightness of the faces is adjusted optimally for beautiful portrait pictures. In macro shooting, it is now possible to take clear, natural pictures. Digital Image Stabilization (DIS) technology prevents the degradation of image clarity and color, which is sometimes found in flash photography. With DIS the effects of image blur are reduced in lower light conditions. You can even take well-exposed, sharper pictures in low light conditions without using a flash at all, which guarantees brighter and more natural pictures. The different icons, scene modes and other features are described in simple and easy to understand terms to improve the interaction between the user and camera. ISO - Auto, 80, 100, 200, 400, 800, and 1000 Flash Modes - Auto, Auto & Red-eye reduction, Fill-in flash, Slow sync, and Flash off Range - Wide 0.3m - 4.0m and Tele 0.5m - 2.1m (ISO AUTO) Self-timer - 2 seconds and 10 seconds Still Image File Format - JPEG (DCF), EXIF 2.2, and DPOF 1.1 Scene Modes - Children, Landscape, Close-up, Text, Sunset, Dawn, Backlight, Fireworks, Beach & Snow, and Night System Requirements - Pentium II 450MHz (Pentium 800MHz recommended), Windows 98SE, 2000, ME, XP, Vista, Mac OS 9.2, 10.4 or later, 64MB RAM, 200MB free space, USB port, CD-ROM drive, 1024x768 pixels, 16-bit color display compatible monitor, Microsoft DirectX 9.0C Dimensions - Approximately Width 3.66 x Height 2.44 x Depth 1.04 (93x62x26.5mm) Weight - 123 grams

Samsung L100 8.2-Megapixel Digital Camera (Gold) with 3x optical zoom, 2.5" LCD screen, Digital image stabilizer, Face detection & Self-portrait function
Price : $199.99 $118.64
Features
: - 8.2 megapixels: The Samsung L100 digital camera takes photo-quality, 300dpi images up to 8" x 10", and good-quality 200dpi images up to 12" x 16". More megapixels give you more freedom to crop, edit, and enlarge favorite portions of your photos.
- Zoom: The 3x optical zoom brings you closer to your subjectwithout sacrificing image quality. The 3x digital zoom picks up where optical zoom leaves off, stretching pixels to make the image look bigger.
- Intelligent LCD screen: This large, 2.5" screen adjusts automatically as ambient light conditions change, so images are clear, bright and easy to see day or night, indoors or outdoors.
- Digital image stabilizer/high ISO: Able to shoot with a light sensitivity of ISO 6400, this camera can handle lower than ideal lighting conditions. High ISO also means that the image sensor can handle shorter exposures to light, allowing faster shutter speeds that can prevent blurred images due to camera shake or moving subjects.
- Face detection: This camera identifies faces in a frame, then optimizes focus and exposure to ensure that all of your portraits look great.

Great pictures but terrible battery life
I bought this camera to use while hiking and otherwise away from a constant supply of batteries. If you buy this camera, you better bring huge supply of batteries with you. For instants, once in a while I would get maybe 20 or so photos before it shut down, sometimes only 3 or 4 and a couple times it would not start up with store fresh Duracells. It always seemed to shut down when I needed it the most.
On the positive side the pictures look great, the camera has easy to use controls and the supplied Windows software works well. All in all I suggest you look elsewhere for a digital camera.

THE BEST I'VE HAD YET
I LOVE THIS CAMERA! IT HAS SO MANY COOL FEATURES SUCH AS VIDEO AND ULTRA ZOOM. IT'S SO EASY TO USE AND IT'S A VERY GOOD BRAND (SAMSUNG). I HAVE PURCHASED DIGITAL CAMERAS IN THE PAST BUT THIS IS THE BEST I'VE HAD YET! TO BE HONEST, THIS IS THE SECOND CAMERA LIKE THIS THAT I HAVE PURCHASED. I LOVED IT SO MUCH, I PURCHASED A DUPLICATE, SAME COLOR, MEMORY CARD, AND ALL! BUY IT...IT'S WELL WORTH IT.

Good Value for money
The camera is sleek, light and easy to carry. Zoom is decent and picture quality also good. What surprised me is that I did not expect good night-time pictures with this camera. However, the night-time pictures are great! Great buy for less than $100.

Can't afford to operate the camera
I purchased the Samsung camera about 3 months ago thinking it would be a great camera to take along on my vacation to Alaska in August. Sure am glad I bought it early! I couldn't afford to buy batteries for this camera. On several occasions, I only got 6 pictures out of one set of batteries. I have an older digital, took the batteries out of the Samsung (It indicated they were dead) and used them in the other camera for 20 more pictures. I recently bought another camera to use on my trip, anyone want to buy a Samsung S730? Cheap!!!

When is a digital-camera more than a digital camera? When it's the Samsung NV3! Not only is it a great digital camera but it's also an audio and video digital media player. At the heart of the Samsung NV3 is a 7-megapixel digital still camera measuring a mere 3.7? x 2.2? x 0.7? with a 2.5-inch, high-resolution LCD display. For outstanding image quality, the NV3 integrates a 3x optical zoom (equivalent to 38-114 mm in 35 mm format) capability with Samsung's exclusive SHD lens technology. The NV3 also has Samsung's state-of-the-art Advanced Shake Reduction (ASR) technology to combat hand shake and ensure crystal-clear images. It lets you take pictures in dimly lit situations without activating the electronic-flash. For entertainment on-the-go, you simply use the included Digimax Converter software to easily convert favorite MP3 files or watch your favorite video content on the large, 2.5-inch color display. The user-friendly software can seamlessly convert MPEG, AVI, MOV, WMV and ASF files for viewing on the NV3. For music on-the-go, the software can also convert MP3 and WAV audio files in several simple steps. There's a convenient port for connecting your earbuds and dual built-in speakers. In addition to taking hi-res 7 Megapixel still pictures, The NV3 can record in VGA (640x480) at 30fps through its lens. In addition to the built-in LCD, images may be shown on a TV or transferred to a PC or Macintosh computer. For crystal-clear images, under various shooting conditions, the NV3 features 11 scene modes including Night, Portrait, Children, Landscape, Close-up, Sunset, Backlight, Fireworks, Beach & Snow and Text Recognition. Text Recognition allows users to shoot documents such as books, papers and magazines and then extract text from the image taken using included software. Auto Macro function automatically adjusts shooting distance and focus. By using the macro button, users can set the camera

Jack of All Trades, Master of None.
I purchased this camera on clearance from a Big Box store about a year ago, and it still works great. Only gripe i have about it is when you get past its optical zoom range, the photos get really grainy. I took this to a couple indoor concerts, and it takes photos in the dark like a champ, but once again, once you get past the optical zoom and into the Digital range, you fall into that zone of grainyness.
This thing takes great video too. At said concert, before being taken outside and hollered at by security for bootlegging, I had taken around 35 minutes of straight video and the battery was only a quarter gone, though the metal housing for the camera was hot to touch.
There's also an MP3 function on this camera and a TXT reader which is kinda cool, but I rarely use them.
This camera is a Jack of All Trades, but a master of None.
Oh and it takes up to a 2GB SD card. It is not SDHC Compatible. I found that out the hard way too.

Great Camera, arrived promptly!
I got a great camera that takes excellent pictures, has plenty of cool features (MP3 player, text reader, etc) and was perfect for the price. It's got a great slim design, about the size of cell phone, and has survived the short drop test (twice). the only drawback is the double flash, most people think the picture is taken after the first flash, so when the second one goes off every one is caught off guard. Besides that, which is not really a big deal, the NV3 is fantastic.

Great camera for a great price...
I bought this camera after returning the Nikon coolpix s51. I am so happy that I did. This camera has all the functions you could need and more, not to mention the picture quality is awesome. I was expecting a huge disappointment because of my previous experience with digital cameras but this was a great investment. If your looking for a camera that will take awesome family photos and something compact this is it.

Question : how to take picture of a moon whith my samsung digital camera?
someone help me??? i want to take picture of a moon
camera i have :
samsung S750
zoom-5.8-17.4mm 3X optical zoom
have ASR (advance shake reduction)
7.2 megapixel
i have paint shop pro X2
picasa
tripod
Answer:
The moon will be quite small with your lenses focal length which is not much longer that a medium telephoto used to take portraits.
Even using my 500 mm on my D300, the moon only fills about 1/5th of the frame.
I don't know how you plan on setting the camera to the sunny 16 rule setting for exposing the moon properly. At ISO 100, you could hand hold the camera at 1/400th second @ f/8 with the camera set at infinity and get nearly perfect exposures.
If you attempt to use the auto-exposure, auto-focus features of your camera, you are likely only to get a white hole in the sky and a lot of camera movement, because the auto-exposure will be trying to expose for the night sky, not the moon

Question : I have a samsung digital camera and the lcd screen is cracked where can i get it fixed and for how much?
the camera is only 2 weeks old and the make of it is samsung digimax A503 with a 2" lcd screen.
Answer:
fly to japan, have a great time, take an ordinary camera you are sure of. good luck. I hate didgital cameras, they do not photo correctly. If you look close, you will see. Cannot beat an ordinary point and shoot, mind you, you have to have a mind behind the eye.

Yes there is sound on the camera, and if I send it via e mail, they get sound.
Answer:
Is your camera capable to capture audio? When you play it back in your camera do you hear anything? If so are your speakers turned way down or muted.

Question : How do you set the timer on a Samsung D75 digital camera?!?
Hi! I have a samsung D75 digital camera and I always need to use the timer option, but I dont know how to set it up so it works! Please, if you know, tell me how because its driving me mad! Thank you! Have a good day.
Answer:
The round dial on the back of your camera has the self-timer function. It's the icon that looks like a circle or clock. It has a line through it (or the second hand in a clock). While in recording/shooting mode you should be able to press it and it will give you a 2 sec. or 10 sec. timer option. Then just press the shutter button to get the timer started.
Alternatively, have a look in pages 8 and, in particular, page 27 of your user manual for help in using the self timer.
If you don't have the user manual, you can download it in the link below...

Question : Where can I find a good repair shop for my new Samsung digital camera in Morocco?
On extended vacation in Casablanca, Morocco. My new Samsung digitial camera I bought in the States has quite working and keeps saying low battery even when new batteries are put in. Also the focus has turned blurry. Cant seem to find anyone to repair or even understand the problem. It cost §80 new US cash to buy a new one here would be close to §200 for the same model, not an option. Any help would be greatly appreciated, a trip with no pictures would be really sad!
Answer:
Forget it, just buy a new camera! That is what being a good little consumer is all about!
Buy a$200 camera, In your case get it for $80 in another country and when it breaks its cost $200 to send it to be fixed (not to mention the BS and run around). You see finding a shop that fixes small electronics is impossible, there just is not enough pay on the investment for people to that anymore, you will just have to send it in and deal the inconvenience!
Or Buy a new Camera!
Things today are designed not to last and be very expensive, sorry!

Question : Did anyone else buy the Samsung D53 digital camera at Walmart? How does Samsung compare with Polaroid?
This must have been a Walmart exclusive because it's not listed on the Samsung web site as a model. Does anyone know how this camera would compare with the Polaroid A700 which was on sale at Kmart? Any opinions on who might make the best inexpense digital camera--Samsung or Polaroid? I do know that the Samsung is very confusing to use out of the box. There are many features but a steep learning curve on figuring out how to use them.
Answer:
Neither.
I don't know how much retailers are advertising these for, but if Canon, Olympus, Fuji or Kodak had one within $100, I would opt for one of those and consider it money well spent.
I use a Samsung digicam at work for taking passport photos and it is completely unimpressive. Polaroid spent a lot of time in bankruptcy, and is behind on the digital curve.
Good luck in finding the right camera.
BTW, if you are switching from a film camera, ALL digicams have a steep learning curve!

Question : How do you capture color light with a Samsung S730 digital camera?
I have a samsung s730 7.2 digital camera and I was wondering how to capture a great light scene at night? I know how to use the different modes for different scenes but at night even with right mode the picture comes out blury or too bright with the flash. If i am taking pictures of different color lights such as a blue lighting or red or something how do I capture the color in the picture without it coming out too blury?
Answer:
u need a long exposure, and because of long exposure time you may not move the camera, and do not use flash. You will then get the light from the streets lights or whatever else is around... expect to get diff colors, reds and oranges .... get a tripod, will not be able to hand hold at such long exposure settings
