Also had a terrible experience with this camera

I had this camera and took pictures but could not get the software to load. I contacted Polaroid on the 800 number and the
person I spoke with told me they were having problems. He was NO help. I went to website and entered my question. After ONE week of back and forth with so called technicians, they finally suggested that I bring it back and buy another camera. I took his advice and brought it back. After not getting any help from them I also told them I would Never buy another Polaroid! They didn't seem upset, but I have changed all my family and friends away from their cameras. They should just close their website and 800 number if their own technicians suggest buying another camera. Don't waste your time on this. If you do buy a Polaroid, make sure you can return it before you buy.

no probs here

i bought this camera a few days ago and already put it through its paces,i have had no problems with picture quality for a [reasonably priced} camera,
it doe's blur when someone moves as do most really [ reasonably priced]
i bought it only for personal use to take pics of family and friends and it doe's me fine
i took a few pics at max res and they came out very good in my opinnion.
like i say for a [reasonably priced] cam it does the job, but if your looking for the semi pro cams then you'll pay closer to [money amount] or more
so basically it all depends what you want to use the camera for

LOVE THIS CAMERA!

I've owned this camera for 3 yrs and am buying 2 more of them today for my children and their families. It is SO VERY easy to use and is perfect for a biginner. It takes BEAUTIFUL pictures that I e-mail to my family and post on the web. I let my grandchildren use it all they wanted while they were here on vacation (ages 7 to 11) and when they left and I looked at the pictures they took, I found that I have some of the most memorable vacation pictures ever!!!! You can't beat this camera for the price, the ease of use, and the quality of pictures!

DO NOT BUY THIS!

Since the day I got this camera it never worked right. At first it was just the fact that the serial connection did not work. So for awhile it took great pictures and they printed very nice! Then it started draining the batteries. Then it just stopped working. Polaroid has done nothing to help me. Not since the day I bought it. Then I also went and bought another polaroid camera and it doesnt work either. And I inquired with polaroid again, and they still haven't helped me! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! The are horrid and do not care about their customers. And their cameras dont work. There have been hundreds of these cameras (this particular model) on ebay that are non working and being sold for parts! As is mine! BEWARE!

1 star is not low enough

I have had this so called camera for 4 months, tried every possible setting to stop an over exposed light condition. This causes faded pictures. No wonder Polaroid is going broke. This may have a flash, but it is totally worthless. I have a cheap intel CS630 that will take great pictures, just point and shoot.

Consistently terrible pictures

This is a very disappointing camera. Almost every picture it takes is badly blurred, even when you're shooting stationary objects. My old 1.3 megapixel camera did a much better job.

A toy, not a camera

Save your money. Poor picture quality, just not enough pixels for a decent image. A flash might make it tolerable for limited web usage, but without its only suitable for outdoor shots, and those won't be good. Light, flimsy plastic, looks and feels like its from the toy dept, not photo.

The more your budget is limited, the more research you should do to get the most for your money. Look for something w/ a flash and more pixels. There are many photo review sites to supplement the info here. And pay more attention to the reviews of people who've had the equipment longer - it's easy to have contagious enthusiasm for a brand new toy.

On a sunny day, with a steady hand~good enough for the price

I wanted an [inexpensive] way to take digital pics ~ after testing under a number of conditions...
The only acceptable pictures were taken outdoors in bright light with the subject 5-25 feet... greater distances (scenery) were low in detail... and a steady hand is necessary... the nicest things is the self timer ~ my niece used at cheerleading camp and was able to set it on a picnic table top & set the timer so everyone could be in the picture (about 10 feel away) & they turned out cute! Otherwise the kids took a few ok pictures ~ but most were blurred ~ you REALLY need a steady hand...

good starter digital

This digital takes decent pictures and even without the use of a memory card holds more than the usual digital does. My only problem is that it is not compatible with my new Windows XP...so if you don't have that version of windows you'll be fine...it's like having an easy, regular camera, but you don't have to buy film or pay for developing!

Only worked for a few months

I received a Polaroid Fun Flash Digital camera as a Christmas present in 2000. I used it infrequently until about August when it would not take or display pictures. I tried to get it repaired by Polaroid but found they have an apparent large backlog of repairs (not a surprise to me) and also had difficulty speaking to anyone. I suppose the only good thing is the price, although the trite phrase "you get what you pay for" certainly applies here. I could not recommend this camera to anyone for any purpose.

Questions & Answers
Question : how can I get my polaroid digital camera work as a web-cam?
I have been wanting to use my 6.0 megapixel camera as my web cam. Have done everything that the instructions tell me still nothing. can anyone help me?

Answer:
You can't, the USB interface on digital cameras is purely for data transfer, it just goes straight to the flash storage in the card or built into the camera.

Question : Why is my digital polaroid camera making all my pictures..?
PINK!!! I have a polaroid camera and i dont know the type but its one of the pink ones that was about $150 and the money goes to help breast cancer. Well when i first got my camera i thought it worked really good but now its making all my pictures have a pink-ish glow. And im not kidding. Is the pink reflecting off of my camera or something? Like idk what to do and i just feel like saving up to buy a new one. what are some good digital cameras that take good qaulity pictures in the daytime and at night?

Answer:
Well I'm not very versed into giving to charities but here's my take. IF you find that it's your camera and nothing you did or didn't do why not just buy the camera and charities do separately. My list of very good brands are Fuji, Sony, Canon and Nikon. Notice I didn't include Polaroid. Consider Canon A630. 4X optical zoom 8 megapixels. Has manual controls in addition to auto, will give you excellent 8X10 print.According to Website dpreview.com Circuit City has it for $212- Also consider Canon A570IS, $171 at Beach Camera and Canon A550 $140 at Beach Camera.

Question : Where can I find a manual on line for Polaroid Digital Camera PDC5070?
I found the manual on line once, but I haven't recently been able to locate it. What I want to know is do I have to depress exposure button half-way down to have a photo in focus? The photos I've taken have been fuzzy - nothing like the Konica Minolta Z1 I had at one time. I suspect the PDC5070 is the digital equivalent of a box brownie.

Question : I need to remove Polaroid Digital camera program from Windows XP computer but it will not allow me.?
It is taking up too much space on my computer and we do not need the program but the normal uninstalling method does not work.Help!

Answer:
You can use 1 of those uninstall Freeware to uninstall the program, which you can find it here: http://www.filehippo.com or put the original CD back into the computer and let it boost up. There should be an uninstall option there somewhere.

Question : I have a 6.0 MP Polaroid digital camera i633 model. Where is the serial number located?
I threw out the packaging already. Is the number on the battery cover starting with "CPA" the serial number?

Answer:
If it's CPA-06361Z...I think that's the part number..the same for all i633's...What about the sticker with 'Serial Number' printed on it? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/B0011E3R9K/ref=dp_image_0?ie=UTF8&n=502394&s=photo

Question : Which polaroid digital camera would be be better for me?
My Polaroid i533 was stolen yesterday. It had 5.0 Megapixels. To replace it, there are 6 and 7 megapixels by Polaroid out there. Are they really that much better quality pictures? I do a lot of cropping and editing on pictures and did sometimes get the warning that they did not recommend the print size that I had chosen. Would a 6 or 7 improve that?

Answer:
Well i have a Poloroid too!! But since you do editing you should DEFENETLY get the 7 megapixels. It is a WHOLE lot better for that stuff.

Question : can i put a sony memory chip in my polaroid digital camera?
My polaroid was a cheap 80 dollar digital, and it sais its memory can be expanded to 1 GB if i buy a memory chip. At the circuit city near me, the polaroid 1 GB chips are 40 dollars, but the sony 1 GB chips are only 20 dollars. they both look the same, so why should i spend more for the same thing?

Answer:
the difference in price is due to the difference in read/write speed. these speeds are gauged in a number like "20x". these speeds can go up to "150x". these high speeds only make a difference in writing speed to the card, so don't expect anything amazing from a more expensive card. since you bought a realitively cheap camera, the sony should be great, the polaroid would be overkill - but would be compatable too.

Question : How do you take off the timestamp off of the Polaroid i735 digital camera???
How do you take off the timestamp off of the Polaroid i735 digital camera??? I am taking pictures and the date and time keep showing up on the corner of my pic when I look at it on the camera!! Please tell me how to take that setting off?????????

Answer:
Go to the camera Menu, Find "Camera setup/ settings" and find something to do with "Timestamp" or "Imprints"

Question : Repair work for a Polaroid Digital camera?
My Polaroid Digital camera seems to be having trouble with the light meter. It uses the flash when there is enough light but when it's dark the flash won't go off. I have it set on automatic flash. This wasn't a problem until recently. Should I contact the manufacturer to see about getting it repaired of are their any camera repair shops out there?

Answer:
contact manufacturer

Question : polaroid digital camera memory card troubleeee?
i have a polaroid digital camera and a memory card for it. a few days ago i was taking videos and it just happened that, on my FAVORITE video, my card says "file error" and when i put my card into my computer, the file is there but it says "0 bytes" and does not have a picture preview and will not play. is my video gone forever?!!!! please helllppp this is really important to me it was my first time doing a new flip on grass!!!

Answer:
Are you forgetting to copy all your image files to your computer as soon as you finish shooting and are you using your camera as a way to show off your images to your friends? You may save them using an image recover program (you can google that), but you need to get into the habit of saving your image files as soon as finish shooting
