Poor Camera Service

I purchased this camera the day after Thanksgiving last year and now the Lens will not re-tract or extend. I contacted polaroid and they will not repair the camers (even at a charge). I contacted a polaroid authorized dealer and they cannot reair the camera either because polaroid will not sell them parts. DO NOT PUCHASE DIGITAL POLARID CAMEERAS unless you want to throw away money.

Awful

I've had this camera for a few months. And it's terrible. The buttons frequently do not work, the shutter often gets "stuck" outside of the camera, and the battery latch keeps falling off. Will never buy from Polaroid again.

Not a Good Buy

I had the same problem. The Camera never worked for me. It always did what I didn't want it to do, and it was horrendous on batteries. It gives Polaroid a bad name, and I am not happy I was misled by the stores.

Buttons Stick, Hard on Batteries & Battery Latch Broke

We had the same complaints as cited previously. The start button was always erratic, which was very frustrating. It used up AA batteries very quickly. Eventually I dropped it and the latch over the batteries broke so it wouldn't work. Unlike some, I thought the pictures were okay and the camera's appearance was okay. I would not recommend this camera; it is just frustrating

Worst camera ever

I bought this camera and with it being 4mp I thought this would be a good starter camera. When I opened the box I could not believe the poor quality of this camera, it looked like a cheap plastic childs camera that is worth about $10. The flash worked only when it wanted too and the buttons would stick. It also paused for about 4 sec. between pictures. The pictures were blurry so needless to say I sent it back. Please stay away from this camera. Very poor camera.

Not so good!

well i bought this camera a couple nights ago and i was pleased with the looks of it and the price of it but when i turned it on i was unhappy to see that you couldn't see anything through the screen when i looked through it to take a picture! if i were you i would invest a couple more dollars into buying a camera that you can acually see what your taking a picture of!

Great for the price, especially for kids

I wanted to throw in my two cents since this camera's gotten a few bad reviews. I bought it for about fifty bucks brand new from Target over a year ago for my son who was 6 or 7 at the time. I didn't expect it to take great pictures and never planned on printing any--it was just for my son to snap away with and have fun.

It has several features that make it great for kids like a non-protruding lens, a washable, removable rubber protective "skin" and easy-to-navigate buttons and menus--not to mention it was cheap. For the same price you can only get about 100 pics with disposable film cameras and processing, and you really take your chances with no-name brand digital cameras in the same price range.

The bottom line is, this camera has held up admirably in over a year of being used by a 7-year-old and he still loves taking pictures with it--at his age he doesn't care much about them being "tack-sharp" or printable at poster size. If you play to the camera's strengths, though, you can actually get good pics.

I've bought two other sub-100 dollar Polaroid digital cameras and I've had absolutely no problems with any of them--and they've all been handled by kids 10 and under, and dropped at least a couple of times.

Do Not Buy - Piece of garbage

I purchsed this camera for my son who takes wonderful pictures. I gave him this camera for Christmas and had nothing but problems. The monitor is so dark that you can't see what you are taking pictures of. The only time you can see in the monitor is on a very bright sunny day. There are no settings to brighten the monitor. I sent an email to customer support then I received an automatic response to take the camera to a repair center. If you are considering buying this camera don't even waste you money. You will be frustrated and the outcome of your pictures will be horrible. I made this mistake and want to save anyone else who is considering it.

DO NOT CONSIDER BUYING THIS CAMERA.

Same problem with this camera...

I also had the same issues with this camera. Not able to see the display at all, it is so dark, you don't even know what you are looking at. I wouldn't really recommend this product-but hey, you get what you pay for!

Not Recommend

This looked like a simple digital camera with for my daughter 6. The specs & price was fine for kid yet not a toy. Out of the box we had the following issues:

As in other reviews the LCD is so dark inside you can not use it. It is black unless you point it at a light or window. There is no adjustment for brightness. Also no view finder.
So all you can do is point and click. This makes the camera usable inside.

I had some boot up and freeze issues

Also the camera does not all ways see the SD card I installed.

You can not delete pictures on the camera need to attach to PC or use a card reader could live with this if you use a SD card vs on board memory.

On nice thing if the camera worked it has a clear soft cover that would be good if kid dropped it. (Cover stays on when taking pictures.)

Customer Review :

Dont bother wasting your money.

I was looking for a cheap digital camera, because the previous one I had broke and the company refused to fix it. So I saw this, thinking it would be a good camera. But its not. This has to be the worst digital I've ever seen. And I've seen some bad ones.

The main issue I have is that the display screen sucks. No matter how bright it is around you, the screen is always dark, to the point where you can't make anything out. I read through the manual to see if there was anything I could do to remedy the problem, but I had no luck with it.

The second issue I have is that the battery life sucks. I've never seen a camera eat up batteries so quickly in my life. You can take maybe 5 pictures and then the whole camera shuts off and your batteries are dead. Even if you put brand new batteries in the thing.

Other issues are that the flash is just right out annoying. You have to constantly wait for the flash to be ready, which seems to take forever. And then when its finally ready, it wont let you take the picture. Or the batteries will go dead. And forget about taking a picture without the flash, because you'll be left with an almost black picture, which you cant make anything out.

When you do take a picture with the flash, you get an okay picture, but it looks grainy. I had to use my photo editor to clean it up.

The video option sucks as well. You only can film 60 seconds. And the video turns out dark and you cant make anything out. Plus you can barely hear the audio of it.

Dont waste your money on this camera. I ended up just tossing the thing because it was so bad.

Answer:
You can use 1 of those uninstall Freeware to uninstall the program, which you can find it here: http://www.filehippo.com or put the original CD back into the computer and let it boost up. There should be an uninstall option there somewhere.

Question : How do I get my Polaroid digital camera to stop making a low beeping noise??????????
3.5megapixels or more

Answer:
You can turn off the beep by going to the menu. Not knowing what kid of model you have, it is difficult to say. However, you can find instruction in your User Guide. Question : Is there such thing as a "digital" polaroid camera?
So, i think that it would be really cool if this kind of camera really existed - maybe it does? But um so what if you could buy a digital camera that only took polaroids and when you got the prints developed they looked like real polaroids? i got the idea becuz my sis has a cheapo digital camera that has a "polaroid' overlay effect however it doesnt look good cuz its crooked and what not but how cool would that be to have a real one so you could pick and choose the ones you wanted and personalize the white area with writing.... cuz real polaroids are WAY TOO EXPENSIVE 4 FILM!

Answer:
Yes, it's made by Polaroid. http://www.polaroid.com/products/product_list.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302028670&bmUID=11912 79020639&bmLocale=en_US&sc=Digital%20Cameras In fact, Polaroid still makes a film camera. http://www.polaroid.com/products/product_list.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302028635&PRODUCT%3C% 3Eprd_id=845524441766994&bmUID=1191279162993&bmLocale=en_US&sc=Handheld

I have an hp 1610, Printer scanner copier.I use SD.memory card in camera. Will the clips transfer in the same way as the stills?

Answer:

Question : can i put a sony memory chip in my polaroid digital camera?
My polaroid was a cheap 80 dollar digital, and it sais its memory can be expanded to 1 GB if i buy a memory chip. At the circuit city near me, the polaroid 1 GB chips are 40 dollars, but the sony 1 GB chips are only 20 dollars. they both look the same, so why should i spend more for the same thing?

Answer:
the difference in price is due to the difference in read/write speed. these speeds are gauged in a number like "20x". these speeds can go up to "150x". these high speeds only make a difference in writing speed to the card, so don't expect anything amazing from a more expensive card. since you bought a realitively cheap camera, the sony should be great, the polaroid would be overkill - but would be compatable too.

Question : Why is my digital polaroid camera making all my pictures..?
PINK!!! I have a polaroid camera and i dont know the type but its one of the pink ones that was about $150 and the money goes to help breast cancer. Well when i first got my camera i thought it worked really good but now its making all my pictures have a pink-ish glow. And im not kidding. Is the pink reflecting off of my camera or something? Like idk what to do and i just feel like saving up to buy a new one. what are some good digital cameras that take good qaulity pictures in the daytime and at night?

Answer:
Well I'm not very versed into giving to charities but here's my take. IF you find that it's your camera and nothing you did or didn't do why not just buy the camera and charities do separately. My list of very good brands are Fuji, Sony, Canon and Nikon. Notice I didn't include Polaroid. Consider Canon A630. 4X optical zoom 8 megapixels. Has manual controls in addition to auto, will give you excellent 8X10 print.According to Website dpreview.com Circuit City has it for $212- Also consider Canon A570IS, $171 at Beach Camera and Canon A550 $140 at Beach Camera.

Question : Why isn't audio working on my Polaroid i739 digital camera?
I took video on my Polaroid i739 digital camera and uploaded it to my computer. When I tryed to watch it, there was no audio! Anyone know how to fix this??

Answer:
Has it worked before?? Does it have a microphone?? You may want to check the Polaroid support site for a manual & FAQ's on your model.

Question : I have a 6.0 MP Polaroid digital camera i633 model. Where is the serial number located?
I threw out the packaging already. Is the number on the battery cover starting with "CPA" the serial number?

Answer:
If it's CPA-06361Z...I think that's the part number..the same for all i633's...What about the sticker with 'Serial Number' printed on it? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/B0011E3R9K/ref=dp_image_0?ie=UTF8&n=502394&s=photo

Question : Which polaroid digital camera would be be better for me?
My Polaroid i533 was stolen yesterday. It had 5.0 Megapixels. To replace it, there are 6 and 7 megapixels by Polaroid out there. Are they really that much better quality pictures? I do a lot of cropping and editing on pictures and did sometimes get the warning that they did not recommend the print size that I had chosen. Would a 6 or 7 improve that?

Answer:
Well i have a Poloroid too!! But since you do editing you should DEFENETLY get the 7 megapixels. It is a WHOLE lot better for that stuff.

Question : Repair work for a Polaroid Digital camera?
My Polaroid Digital camera seems to be having trouble with the light meter. It uses the flash when there is enough light but when it's dark the flash won't go off. I have it set on automatic flash. This wasn't a problem until recently. Should I contact the manufacturer to see about getting it repaired of are their any camera repair shops out there?

Answer:
contact manufacturer
