Great Camera
This camera has a lot of features for the price. It's a great deal for the price. Reliable, fast, and fun. I bought two--one for me and one for my family.

Best for the Price
I bought one for my husband and I liked it when I was playing with it for a while to set everything up for his needs.... so I bought another one for myself. I really like the selection of the colors and the camera itself is very easy to use. One thing I didn't realize until purchasing this camera was the memory card needed for. This camera has to have a XD card and it's not SD card that most camera uses. If you own SD card already and not planning to purchase another kind, this camera might not be the right choice but even if buying a new card, price is still be very attractive.

Customer Review :
Great camera, average software
I bought the Olympus FE-350 because I needed a wider lense than the typical point-and-shoot camera. I was not disappointed. The FE-350 is easy to use and provides great pictures.
I gave the camera a rating of four stars because I need to be able to create panoramas and the Olympus Master software provided with the camera doesn't do that great of a job stitching photos together. I have been getting better results from other photo software using the same pictures. So,the problem isn't all in the pictures I have been taking.
However, the camera yields excellent results in the photos and is easy to use. The camera is a steal for the price.

Sturdy Camera
I've had this camera for over a year now, and it's working without any problems. The battery life is remarkable, and the battery lasts for approximately 2 days (with moderate usage of taking and then showing images to all involved).
The only downside -- It is nearly impossible to take a decent picture with this camera (without a tripod) in poor lighting conditions. The stabilization feature does NOT help with this problem.

Great little camera, easy to thrown in a pocket and take with you. The wide angle lens really comes in handy; the main reason that I choose this camera. The colors really seem to pop in the pictures that I have taken so far, very easy to learn and use camera.

Customer Review :
Good Camera, here's why
For reasons that would be useless and boring to this post, I've had five digital cameras in the last five years (Panasonic, Pentax, Panasonic, Olympus, Panasonic). I've also tinkered with family versions of Sony, Kodak, and Fuji cameras.
Panasonic cameras are the best. Period. There is no point in me posting about them, because everyone else has. And I have one with a large Leica lense, and I use it regularly for low-light situations.
But if you want a really great, tiny camera, think Olympus.
For a small, super-portable camera, the FE-280 has met all my expectations. Yes, it has a tiny, very tiny, lense. That means indoor shots will not be that great. But otherwise, the pics outdoors are fantastic. Even indoor shots have some depth. If you want crazy-good photos, get a Panasonic with a large Leica lense.
Best Advice if you have an FE-280:
* Use the Sports Mode for everything. * Use the Indoor Mode for everything else in low light. * Video is very good in the second setting. The low setting is horrible.
Forget the other fancy settings, except maybe the "behind the glass." That one was pretty cool for our daughters, especially with the monkeys at the zoo.
For those thinking the camera hasn't worked for you, here may be a few reasons that possible buyers might consider:
* Are you using the camera wrong? * Have you tested it with the different settings? * Did you expected to get a tiny pocket camera with big-lense capabilities?
For the meager price, you get much more than anyone can ask. My pics are almost always flawless, and you can't beat the portability.
It is darned tiny.
Try it.

Liked it when it worked
I got this camera right before Christmas and it worked for about a week or two and then it broke. The shutter/zoom button broke and then you either couldn't take a picture or couldn't zoom in or out. I tried returning or exchanging it and was unable to. Now I'm trying (unsuccessfully) to deal with the Olympus warranty.

Olympus FE280 - Not recommended
I got this camera as a gift. My 1st digital camera, I was still attached to film! I was reluctant to make the switch because I though I'll loose that "photographer eye" by clicking in every direction I wanted and not have the danger to run out of film. But I kinda of changed my mind after using a digital camera and seeing the fairly good printed copies. After using my Olympus FE 280 for a couple of month I do recognize the value of point and shoot digitals when it comes to: you simply put it in your pocket, you can see the frame right after and check if you got it right, and after all some pics do come out ok. But when I want more elaborated photos I still carry my Canon EOS 500 and set of lenses (which now I'm considering substituting for digital). But still the Olympus FE 280 is not the best option out there and for 320 bucks (what?) you can get better camera.
Cons: eternal lag time, very bad in low light conditions (focus take forever and even so many pics came out blurry), not the best lens , in less than 1 year the focus in macro/super macro function stopped working
Pros: great pocket size, fairly good pics during the day, easy to use menu and buttons, ok software, great battery life
Rating :
Great Camera
This Camera is great for everyday use. It has great stability so that pictures do not blur easily and takes sharp crisp pictures. I would def. recommend this camera for any first time user. Its a great product.

| Editorial Review :
Olympus Stylus 770 SW is the world's most durable digital camera. You can drop it (from 5ft), dunk it (to 33ft), freeze it (-10?C/14?F) or even try to crush it (up to 220lbf), and it will still take amazing photos. But the 770 SW isn't all brawn and no brains. It features a bright 2.5" Hypercrystal LCD so you can easily compose, view and share your images underwater or in direct sunlight. Digital Image Stabilization (DIS) creates sharp, blur-free pictures, even if your subject is moving. And the 27 Shooting Modes, including movie with sound, allow you to master any shooting situation.
Customer Review :
Hard to Operate - Fair Pictures
I purchased Olympus 770sw for the waterproof and drop proof features. I had been carrying my Cannon G6 while hiking in the national forest. I realized that one fall in the creek would mean no more G6. My biggest frustration with the Olympus is it is hard to operate due to its small size which means very small buttons on the back which can only be operated with one's fingernails. (I'm not a member of the I-Pod, cell phone always in my ear generation.) Plus, something that should be simple, like deleting an image, takes four pushes on the small buttons. Also, I rate the picture quality as fair when compared with the G6. I didn't need a camera this small and guess I should have purchased one somewhat larger and less expensive with a waterproof case. I have no idea how to use most of the features and probably never will bother to learn even 25 percent of them. (This seems to be true of most technology devices which simply have more capabilities than most of us need.) Consider this camera only if you are younger and used to manipulating small buttons as on your cell phone and if you have plenty of digital camera experience. If you don't meet these criteria, be sure to locate a how to use it class and think twice about what you really need before purchasing.

There is no reason to buy this camera
By coincidence, my brother and I both bought this camera. Initially we congratulated ourselves for making such a wise buy independently. Actually we were both saps who fell for the unrealized promises of the marketing for this device. We have been comparing photos and generally this camera takes poor pictures at best. If you are in bright daylight it's fine, but in even remotely dim lighting the pictures absolutely stink. Also, the focus is twitchy. You have to learn the strange focus attributes of the camera to get a decent shot and even then you have a 50% chance of being out of focus.
I haven't taken this camera underwater but after learning the Olympus policy is to require a gasket refit ever year at over $100 per refit, I don't think I'll be doing that.
Also the battery life is horrible.
It seems like a super safe buy because of all the shock and water proofing, but in the end you will be sorry you bought this, just like my brother and I are.

Olympus Stylus 770SW 7.1MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom (Silver)
This is a great little camera. I can take excellent photos *almost* anywhere, with the only limitation being that I have trouble aiming my shot outdoors in bright light. The LCD screen is not readable many times, although it is supposed to be "improved." If this camera had a viewfinder, it would be 10 stars! I love the size and all the settings for the various exposures. I am glad I bought it.

Awsome Camera!
I got this camera last summer. I have taken it on every trip and it is very fun to use underwater. The pictures come out clear, even underwater. And you can take video underwater with sound! I think this camera is amazing, and so do other people I know. The only thing that I don't like about it is that the display screen is sometimes hard to see if you are outside while the sun is out.
Rating :
Beware! Works at first, but not after awhile!
At first, this camera was amazing. I took it to the beach, took it skiing, kyaking, etc. But after a year, I took on vacation and it simply stopped working at the beach. A friend of mine who bought this camera also had it stop working on him after about a year. I think that the gaskets which give it its waterproof and weather proof qualities wear out after awhile. Checking online, I've seen many forums where people have posted that their camera stopped working after awhile. I imagine Olympus knew this, as their warranty is for only a year! Rediculous. Don't buy unless you only want a camera for a year or so. Don't buy it!!!

Olympus FE-340 is very user-friendly
Olympus FE-340 has a good sized LCD, 5X zoom, and is very user-friendly specially for people who are simply point-and-shoot photographers.
PROS: -- Camera has 5x zoom, looks solidly built, comes in great colors and the control buttons are very intuitive. -- Has a Guide option which describes possible shooting scenarios (like shooting something behind a glass, shooting with bright backlight) and you only need to select which scenario applies and the camera provides you with the optimal settings. You just select it, then point and shoot. -- LCD screen is good sized and clear. -- Provides 4 different preview shots at once (splits LCD display in 4) and gives you the option to select which shot looks best to you. -- Image quality is good. Nothing spectacular, just good.
CONS: -- Only takes xD picture cards. -- No burst mode (this is the continuous shooting mode). -- Write speed and flash recycle time is very slow.
If you like fast burst mode, faster write speed, and SD card compatible, try either Canon SD1000 or Casio EX-Z80.

Question : How to add the date and time in my Digital camera photos(Olympus F232)?
I am using Olympus F232 Digital camera. When I copied the photos to the system, I need the Date and Time of photo shoot
in the copied photo. In the Camera where I have to do this setting to get the date and time .
Answer:
Information about date, time, exposure etc. is held in the exif information of each picture. Your image processing app should be able to display this, or you could get an app like EXIF ShellExtension which allows you to display the information in Windows Explorer.
There are apps which will add this info to your images, but I've never used one in anger - you could try Jpeg Exif Stamper, it's free.

Question : How to recovery deleted pictures from an Olympus digital camera?
The pictures were captured with an Olympus FE-210 digital camera on June 6 between the hours of 8pm to 2am. On Friday they were formatted/ deleted. I've tried online recovery website but it recovers recently deleted pictures. If someone could give me any websites, companies, or telephone numbers that can help me retrieve my pictures, do tell. Thank you sooo much!!
Answer:
first off, formating and just simply deleting stuff are similar, but two different things. When you format, you're re-writing the build up of the card so that your camera can read/write to it. Everything getting deleted is just an extra side-effect. When you delete something, you're just erasing that particular area of memory.
if you've already formated the card, then theres pretty much nothing that can be done, you're pictures are unfortunately lost. If you just deleted the pics, theres an off hand chance you can still get them back.
just google something like memory card recovery
heres one site I found:
http://www.ultimateslr.com/memory-card-recovery.php

Just use a lint free cloth to clean the digital camera. If it is really sticky you can find cleaning pads for electronics which should be safe. The best option is to contact your manufacturer and ask them what their cleaning recommendation is. Good Luck!
