Questions & Answers
Question : In your opinion or from reviews overall how do you rate the follwing digital camera companies best to worst.?
Cannon, Fujifilm, Kodak, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Pentax, Sony ( I have omitted companies such as: Casio, HP, Samsung) becuase they don't really make their own camera lenses per say. And that they clearly aren't among the upper tier of camera company groups. Although they make good camera's just not part of that select group of pioneers in the camera world. As well as ...Konica minolta just becuase they arent that common.

Answer:
Canon and Fujifilm and Nikon are probably the best. The canon powershot, the fujifilm finepixZ, and the nikon coolpix are great choices for compact cameras. The finepix is pretty, clear, and is probably my favorite, but all three are good. It is simply a personal choice.

Question : Where can I find a manual on line for Polaroid Digital Camera PDC5070?
I found the manual on line once, but I haven't recently been able to locate it. What I want to know is do I have to depress exposure button half-way down to have a photo in focus? The photos I've taken have been fuzzy - nothing like the Konica Minolta Z1 I had at one time. I suspect the PDC5070 is the digital equivalent of a box brownie.

Question : What is the best digital camera for indoor low light situations?
right now I have a Konica Minolta Dimage Z3 and I used it at my sons wedding and the pictures I took at his reception were extremely grainy to the point where I cant use them for even just 4*6 prints.

Answer:
For a point & shoot digital camera, the Fujifilm F-series is probably the best for low-light situations. Here are some owners opinions for the newly released F31fd - http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/read_opinions.asp?prodkey=fuji_finepixf31fd and here's a detailed review - http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/fujifilmf31fd/ - the review is several pages long, be sure to checkout the other pages also to see how it compares to other cameras in its class, and the sample photo gallery.

Question : Why can't I get my computer to read pictures from my digital camera?
It's an HP Photosmart M425 and it always works just fine when i transfer my pictures to my computer (it's a Dell Dimension 4700, if that matters), but I put a memory card with pictures taken by a Konica Minolta Dimage E500 in it, and the computer won't connect to it or read the pics. The cards are exactly the same type and size, and both cameras show the pics from the other ones card when I switched them, so why can't the computer read them? I don't have the right kind of mini usb cable to plug in the Konica, which is why I am trying to figure out how to do it this way.

Answer:
you can probably get the mini usb from ebay I did for 99 cents go to smartcomputing.com techsupport to solve your problem

Question : Downloading pictures in Konica Revio KD-310Z Digital Camera ...?
have got kd-310z off ebay ... tried getting pics off card with card reader but files are appearing as 'gobbledegook' on pc.symbols instead of numbers and letters. pics are appearing when card is in camera but not recognised when attached to pc. can u help????

Answer:
You got a bad one. Someone sold you their junk. This is a VERY old camera (over six years old) and uses a memory card that is no longer made. Try to get your money back ... I hope you didn't pay more than about $15 including shipping. You can try calling the Sony help line 800.222.SONY and see what they say, but I am afraid you have been had. Look here for a good, inexpensive P&S camera and avoid buying on eBay. http://www.dpreview.com

Question : question about the Konica Minolta G600 digital camera?
I have a konica minolta G600 digital camera that I purchased used a couple of years ago for less than $100 on ebay. recently though I've seen the same exact camera on Amazon and other sites for prices reaching nearly $900. The SAME freakin' camera. I'm just trying to get an idea where this insane price jump came from. please respond only if you can give a relavant answer. Thank you

Answer:
The G600 is an older camera (nearly three and a half years), thus older technology. Statistics on the camera. http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/compare_post.asp?method=sidebyside&cameras=konicaminolta_dimageg600& show=all Refurbished G600's cost around $400. You seem to have found a deal. The big plus for this camera has to do with the fact that it can use both the most popular SD memory card and the propriatary Sony Memory Stick. In addition is has one of the largest sensors found in P&S digital cameras
