Kodak does not stand behind their products good luck if you have a problem
Nothing but problems. If you purchase a kodak camera get ready to purchase another brand. I purchased a kodak camera have sent it to kodak to be fixed for freezing up a couple times while under warranty, they never did fix now 1 month passed warranty they won't stand behind their product. The kodak supervisor said it's just not his problem. Now trying Samsung and Sony. I do not recommend any kodak camera. I like the picture quality, but it freezes up and you can't reset it. Worked literally 3 months and it's garbage. Kodak used to be good, but not anymore.

Do Not Buy This Camera
I got this camera and used it fairly infrequently before it suddenly refused to power on after only 6 months. So I sent it to get repaired and instead I get a refurbished camera two months later. Again I use it infrequently, about 3 times, over the next few months and now this one is doing the same thing, it won't power up no matter what. DO NOT BUY!!!

Kodak Easyshare C613---Love That Kodak Color!
Al Hansen: Andrea Rosen Gallery.: An article from: Artforum International The Kodak EasyShare C613 is the best camera in its class. I have many digitals, but this is the camera I use the most. The Kodak C613 is the camera that I carry around each day. It was my first serious camera. It is the best intuitive camera I've come across. All the buttons and prompts just seem right. It turns on fast and moves quickly. Best of all is the Kodak color saturation, which I need in the use of bright costumes.

Second Kodak, and will be my last!
I had purchased the Kodak V410 and was very happy with it. It lasted for about a year and then the rear display stopped working.
Being based in the Bahamas, I decided it wasn't worth the red tape of trying to get it repaired.
So I decided to purchase the then new V610.
I was satisfied with this camera also, but then the Gremlins started to show up again.
My camera will no longer focus on anything!!!
Still shots are blurry unless you use a tripod, and the video.... boy don't get me started.
Since this is my second lemon from Kodak I will be searching elsewhere for a point and shoot.
Just my 5cents.

Nice and Sleek
This is the first Sony camera I have owned, I bought it a year and a half ago. The 10x zoom is what made me decide to buy this camera over others (at the time, this was pretty much the only pocket-sized camera with that kind of zoom).
After a couple months I started having problems with the auto-focus, I was increasingly ending up with blurry pictures unless I zoomed in and switched to the other lens. Eventually the wider-angle lens stopped working completely. The user manual led me to a company to send the camera in to have it fixed. It ended up costing me over $100 and I had to send it in twice to get it fixed properly, but the service was excellent.
This camera has several flashy, cool features. For instance, if you are viewing pictures and turn the camera on its side, the pictures with automatically rotate. I also love the sleek design and the blue lighting around the buttons.
It also has its share of unique useful features. The zoom is awesome, and the size is very handy. To my surprise, I have come to love the Bluetooth feature, which wasn't sounding very useful at first. If you take a good picture you can reduce the size and send it to your cell phone or a friend's very quickly and it looks much better than a camera phone could do. I'm pretty impressed with the battery life.
The only things that bother me about this camera are that it seems to scratch pretty easily and the LCD display is constantly covered in fingerprints.
The display screen does not do the pictures justice; they look much better once you put them on the computer.
I am not an experienced photographer but this camera has worked perfect for my purpose. I also own a durable, waterproof Olympus but I use this camera for higher quality shots. The pictures turn out nice.

Disappointed
I purchased the Kodak EasyShare V610 about 1 year ago. I am someone that wants to point and shoot with little to no thought about settings or manual adjustment. I chose this camera mainly because of the 10x zoom in such a small package. The 10x zoom has been a great feature, and I have gotten some great shots outside. However,I have missed 3 major events including my son preschool graduation, his Terrific kids award ceremony and his final Kindergarten performance. Not a single picture turned out for any of these inside events. Since I am totally an auto mode user and never customize my settings, I questioned if this was due to my error. However, after coming back and reading reviews, I see that this is an issue with this model not having image stabilization. Only one year later, I am now looking for another camera (preferably small), with at least 10x zoom, that works well in auto mode, has high FPS and user friendly software (I wasn't crazy about Kodak's software). I cannot afford to miss anymore important memories.

Great Camera, Great Quality!
I know this camera is over a year and a half old but it's better than a lot of the ones coming out today! I see that it is 6 megapixels and the newer ones are 12 megapixels and over, but things like the optical and digital zoom on this one are 10x and 5x zoom. The ones I'm seeing now are only 3x optical zoom, which doesn't make much sense to me. I'm still getting compliments on my camera over a year later. Plus, it's an integrated lens camera, which is much better than the ones that are coming out now, in my opinion. So yes, I'd recommend this one to anyone looking for a good camera without worrying about getting the newest and best megapixel amount.

2 years with Kodak V610 camera
I just dropped the camera and broke the lens so I'm looking/researching for another camera. I have been using it extensively for the past 2 years so have much experience with it. Positives: -panoramic 3 shots stitched into one is fabulous -takes good video shots and can be zoomed in/out during recording -great color in sunny outdoor light -10x optical zoom in a small, lightweight package
Negatives: -occasional mild distortion of subjects (making it look wider) it doesn't always happen but have noticed it on some photos -bad photos in low light such as indoor, sunsets, or night shots. -more blurring with fast moving subjects compared to other cameras i've used before -flash does not reach very far so if you need to use flash you need to be quite close and it often washes out the subject. -time consuming to change settings rather than a quick button or wheel since you need to go to the menu and toggle around which can be annoying if you want to quickly take a photo
Overall great if you want a small slim profile with 10x zoom, but i do not plan on purchasing it again since I want better photos for low light situations.

Great Entry-Level Camera
Prior to purchasing this unit, I did a fairly exhaustive internet search of user-reviews of entry-level digital cameras. Since this is my first digital camera, the most important factors for me were ease-of-use and overall user-friendliness. On both those counts, I can say the unit performs remarkably well. My wife, who is very much a non-techie, has had no trouble using the camera for taking pictures of her eBay merchandise. Clarity and resolution are very good. And the camera interfaces fairly seamlessly with the included Kodak software and Kodak Gallery. Battery life also seems remarkably good. It would have been nice, though, if Kodak had included even a simple cloth carrying case. The only reason I didn't give the camera five stars was because of the difficulty viewing subject matter outdoors with the LCD viewfinder, especially in bright sunlight. The glare makes it almost impossible to see your subject. In fairness, though, this seems to be a problem with LCD viewfinders in general, not just Kodak's. But overall, it's a great little camera.

Great little camera! Ordering 2nd one today!
Love this camera. I have one that I bought about 6 mos. ago and I am getting ready to buy a 2nd one. My husband uses the 1st one all the time and he likes it because its compact. I like it cause I can carry it around in my purse and use it whenever I want. It takes awesome pictures....I haven't had but a few pictures that didn't turn out...but that was me taking a crappy picture. This will be my 4th Kodak camera. I don't know what people keep talking about the LCD screen being hard to see...In certain lighting conditions ALL camera lcd's are hard to see. I have Canon Rebel XSI and it's the same problem. If the light is really bright and/or really dim they are all hard to see at times. This doesn't bug me. Its just a known fact that this is problem. It really disturbs me that people give it a bad rap for just that problem. The bottom line...It takes really good pictures and its easy to use. Thats all that really matters to me...

Great Camera So Far
Purchased this camera in November (2008) and so far it has been a great camera. Battery lastes long. It is easy to operate. The software is the best...even better than the Canon software from my wife's camera. I wanted to support an American company (with the economic conditions) so I bought a Kodak and have been very pleased.

Not The Greatest.
I got this camera to take to China with me so I could remember everything I did and saw there. It worked fine the first 4 weeks, then on the 5th week the lens part wouldnt come out right or go back in at all. I was frustrated, especially since I was on a trip and couldnt have it fixed right away. I sent it back in when I got home and had it fixed. After that it worked fine, then started up with the lens thing AGAIN so I sent it back again asking if they could replace it ( I thought it was just a dud) and they did. This camera worked fine until a week ago when the screen started shaking crazily when I turned it on and now its completely blank and wont let me see the pictures I take. Although when this camera worked, it took great pics and was really clear, its just not one that I would recommend.

Questions & Answers
Question : Has anyone used the new Kodak digital camera to take sports pics in a high school gym?
I have a camera but the pictures always come out blury. I was told I need a stableization in my camera like the new Kodak has. I want to make sure if I get that camera it will work fine. It is frustrating because I want to take good action shots of my son on the court and they come out blury. Any feedback?
Answer:
sorry you heard that.
a stabilizer takes away your hand shaking not an object moving.
the light in a gym seems bright.
but, it fools the camera.
if you write an email to me and tell me what kind of camera you have - I might be able to help you.
the best thing you can do without changing the camera settings - is to get as close as you can and use the flash.

Question : Free online digital camera software for transfering editing and sharing? I hate my Kodak software?
I have a kodak digital camera and use the software that came with it to transfer pics from my camera and to edit them. I also use their gallery to share photos without having to email them. Does anyone know of a free online site that will let me do all these things. I really don't like the kodak.
Answer:
Picasa is a great one. It will transfer the pictures from the camera, allow you to set up galleries, edit the pictures, and soon upload them to a web-based gallery. http://www.picasa.com

Question : Transfering pictures from Kodak digital camera to Dell Desktop?
I recently reformatted my hard drive. Before I would plug my Kodak digital camera in and then a menu would pop up and I could transfer my pictures from my camera to my Dell Dimenson 3000 desktop. I could also do some minor editing like the darkness and cropping. Now when I plug in the camera, nothing happens. Do I need to reinstall a driver or software. I had whatever was standard/came with the computer. What do I need to get it back to the way it was before I reformatted the computer?
I already have the CD that came with camera and tried D/L software from Kodak. Both are the same. I don't like that program, too complicated. I am looking for the program that came with the computer, but not sure what it would be called.
Answer:
If you go to the Kodak website, you can type in the model of the camera that you have and it will give you the option of downloading the updated drivers for your camera as well as the updated "EasyShare" software. No need to look for you CD that came with the camera. You may have to register on the site but it's ad/spy-free anyway and you can opt-out of emails. Hope that helps.

Question : I have a Kodak Digital Camera and it got wet, how can I fix it myself?
I have a Kodak Easy Share Z740 Digital Camera that was sent to get repaired but the extendant warranty does not cover water/moisture getting into the camera. My dad is going to kill me when he finds out!! I'm in a hurry,Please help me.
Answer:
If you have to ask you don''t have the technical ability yourself. Look in your phone book and see if there is a local camera repair centre and pay for the repair yourself.
As this camera is a low end one it may not be worth the cost of repairing it. Maybe a replacement is in order.
Have you ever thought of being honest with your father? As a parent I know I would prefer the last option.
Good luck

Question : Question about Kodak digital camera and windows movie maker?
I have a Kodak digital "easy share" camera. It records video and i've put a couple video files from my camera directly on my computer. I can view them through Quicktime or on the internet (after uploaded), but windows media player doesnt work for them. They are in ".mov" format, and i dont know why i cant play them on windows. I also want to know why it wont let me upload them onto windows movie maker to edit and make a movie out of them. It says that ".mov" files are uploadable under WMM help, yet every time i try to upload them it says something along the lines of it not being compatable.
Does anybody know why this is? Is there a way i can change it or fix it? I've gone through windows help of all sorts and cant seem to come to a solution.
Serious answers only please.
Thankyou!!!

Question : I have a "dinosaur" (old, big) Kodak digital camera. How do I get it to install to my computer?
I called Kodak support and they no longer provide support for my model, the DX3500. However, the rep did tell me that it is compatible with Kodak's EasyShare software. I lost the software it came with in a move. Beyond that, I am clueless.
When I plug my USB into the computer, nothing happens, the Easyshare software that I downloaded does not automatically pop up. When I try and install the camera in "Control Panel" my model does not come up on the list, so it says to to use the software.
Is there something about being the administrator of the computer???
Any help you have would be great. I have 400+ pictures of my NB twins on my camera that I cannot download and need to get a new camera when I can afford one! So any tips you have are greatly appreciated since I'm stuck with this one in the meantime!
Thanks!

Question : Can i somehow put filters on my tiny kodak digital camera??
I have a small kodak digital camera, it's just plain digital. It doesn't even have a "mm" sized lense. Just a regular digital camera. is there a way to adapt lenses to it? would they be effective if i had to rig up something? or would the become deffective because of the distance between the lens and the filter?
Answer:
what sort of filters do you want to add to it? in this age of digital photography the only useful filter would be a UV filter for protection, any other effects could be replicated in digital editing. If you do want effects without editing, you could get away with holding up a filter to the lens but, really, why? and yes, the further you hold from the lens, the more distortion you will get. but hey, try it. no harm can come...

Question : Kodak Digital camera, c653, got dampened in water is it repairable?
I got the kodak c653 digital camera which got dampened, can it be repaired if yes whom do i need to show? i stay at hyderabad, please suggest..
Answer:
Electronics and water don't go well together. If it works after drying out, great. If not, the water probably caused a short circuit which would make it doubtful that it can be repaired. However, I've seen electronics survive water damage, but the battery was ruined. You might get lucky and get by with only having to get a new battery.
