A clever retro engineering concept makes this digital-camera a marvel to carry, use, and own. Kodak EasyShare V705 camera lets you capture amazingly wide views with the world's smallest ultra-wide-angle optical zoom digital camera. Strengthening its commitment to pushing the boundaries of technology, Kodak designed the V705 to include KODAK RETINA Dual Lens Technology, which touts two 7 megpixel sensors, anti-blur technology and KODAK PERFECT TOUCH Technology. With the V705, you can get closer and see the details with 5X optical zoom range, and automatically adjust its setting when choosing from 22 scenes and three color modes. Picture takers can even capture the most expansive shots in just seconds with panorama stitch mode, capturing up to 180 degrees with only 3 shots. The powerfully simple video features include the ability to record VGA video (640 x 480) at 30 fps with sound, and convenient on-camera video editing tools offers consumers to trim clips and create prints from video (4, 9 or 16 up), plus view and share single frames. It's a user-friendly camera for fun, creativity, and delight. Built-in multimode electonic-flash 32MB Internal memory for out-of-box use Memory Card slot for use with SD or MMC additional memory (we suggest a 512MB SD card for practical use) Select AutoFocus and AutoExposure modes Choose among 22 scene modes for optimal performance and simplicity AntiBlur technology prevents normal handshaking (when holding camera) to assure the sharpest images possible PictBridge mode Unit Dimensions - 4 x 2 x 0.8 inch / 4.4 ounce Includes Kodak Lithium-ion rechargeable battery KLIC-7001 and AC charger USB connectivity A/V output for viewing images on TV Easyshare compatible - Dock is optional

Great Extras, Lousy Basics
This camera can do an awful lot. Like stitch several pictures together to make one long panorama picture. Great. It has a 5x optical zoom AND a wide angle. Great. It's got a huge and pretty decent LCD screen. Great.
However, it's basic photography skills are lousy:
1.) It's got NO VIEWFINDER. Taking pictures in bright daylight is made difficult, as you HAVE to use the screen to frame your shot.
2.) Pictures are noisy. No qualifiers here, even in perfect sunlight, there's a lot of digital noise in the shots, even in the midtones. More than I have seen in any other digital camera.
3.) The autofocus is terrible. Even after it came back from Kodak, who fixed it under warranty, pictures are still frequently out-of-focus blurry, and that is when we're talking still objects at moderate distances.
4.) There's way too much contrast in the photos, most of them have some areas overexposed (white, all detail lost) and other areas underexposed (black, all detail lost).
I'm off to find a compact camera that can do 1-4, and I'll do the rest on the computer...

I love and hate this camera
It's a wide angle camera that you can fit in your pocket--so it's great that way. The in-camera stitch is nice, and battery life is very impressive. But there's some real annoyances too. My beefs with this camera:
* No control over image compression: Kodak has one setting and in my opinion it's far too highly compressed. Forget about being able to take a standard shot and focus in on some interesting detail. They're all lost in compression artifacts. Come on, Kodak: how hard is it to have a RAW mode? And why have a 7MP camera when the file sizes are the same as the 5MP?
* Low light performance is, to put it bluntly, crap. You'll need a tripod, which sort of defeats the purpose of having a camera you can fit in your pocket.
* The flash is harsh.
* The processor is far too slow for any kind of sequence shots.
* Even though the camera has a text mode, it's not very useful. Keep this in mind: if you want to shoot a sign or a map with small print--which I often do on my job--you will find this a very, very tricky process to get right. You have to have good lighting to pull it off, and this is where a RAW mode would really help.
For the money, if you want to do wide-angle outdoor shots with a camera you can fit in your pocket, you could be really happy with this unit. I've certainly received a lot of compliments on the quality of some of the photos I've taken with this (see therealkezekiel on flickr), but they're all on outdoor shots in decent to good light.

Great Buy
I am a residential realtor and this camera was recommended to me as the best for my uses - absolutely right! I love it. I received the camera just as promised with all the accessories and in good condition. I couldn't be more pleased.

satisfying item
As you know, kodak has stopped producing this wonderful stuff with dual-lens. Satisfied so much, now I'm looking forward to meeting another awesome product.

Some good, some bad
This camera has a lot of really nice features, especially the panoramic "stitching." I wish they had paid more attention to picture quality in low light. I cannot find settings that don't make some photos look dark and speckled.

i like kodak
when my last kodak died, i knew i wanted another. this one is really fun to use. it is small and cute, and really easy. i gave it a 4 only because it doesn't have a view finder (which makes it hard to see what you are taking a picture of when it is sunny outside) and the pictures aren't quite as clear as i expected...although my expectations may have been a little higher than they should have. overall, i would reccommend this camera!

broke before I even used it!
This is the second kodak 743 I had. The first one just stopped working for no reason. It was past the 1 year warranty,so nothing I could do. I loved the camera and wanted another, but when I received it and put the battery in,the screen was cracked. I guess I'll try another model

I Like my Kodak C743 Camera so Far
I bought this camera as a replacement for my KodakCx7530 for about the same money it would have cost me to have the 7530 repaired. I was very happy with the 7530 until it started to put pink overtones on all PICS. My new C743 is even better than the 7530. I love it.I have not taken any Sepia or Black and whites yet so have no comment on them. My only complaint so far is that I was told by Kodak that I could use my existing camera dock with the C743 camera by simply buying a Kodak D-22 Adapter. I can't find any tho I have tried everywhere even pre ordering a used one on your site.

kodak c743 digital camere
I previously owned this camera and I broke it on my wedding night!(totally my neglegence) I loved this camera because it took great pictures and they were so clear when viewing on my computer as well as when printed. I was so diappointed that it was a older model and not carried in stores because I needed one immediatley to take a picture to create my thank you card. I was desperate so I decided to by a canon. To my dissapointment, the pictures were not as clear. So, I searched the internet and happily found it avaible on Amazon.com. I was able to soon get started on my thank you cards because my new camera arrived within 3 days! Not only is this a great camera, it's aslo very easy to use!

Having Trouble
I bought this camera - Kodak EasyShare V803 8MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom (Mystic Purple) for my neice as a birthday present. The good part is it worked on her birthday. The bad news is that it hasn't worked since. Her mother has been trying to contact the supplier to return it for over three weeks. They've been closed for the holiday(?). So, I'm not happy with this purchase at all and will not buy any other electronic items from Amazon or their vendors. I will have Amex involved in this by this coming Monday, if the problem is not resolved. Amazon's good for books and anything without moving parts and that's about it.

terrific for consumers looking for a simple yet high quality camera. price is great and so is functionality. this is my first digital camera and i've had great luck with it. really easy to use without tons of confusing buttons and bells and whistles. plus it is super cute! highly recommended.

Good for its purpose...
The thing about this camera is that its a point-and-shoot. Its super easy to use, but no matter what you're doing, its extremely difficult to capture a picture that looks completely clear when it is blown up to the size its supposed to blow up to. The zoom goes up to 3.0, but is only clear to about 1.5, and the machine makes the 1.5x and more zoom seem lousy on the interface. I used this camera for a trip and got some good pictures, but was disappointed to see that many of the pictures didn't appear clearly full size. Its definitely a good camera with over 15 picture modes, but it hasn't won me over because its lack of image stabilization.
Rating :
Expensive Disposable - below average pictures.
When the camera was first released, many customers experienced a problem in which the camera would freeze periodically and the only way to regain control would be to remove the battery and power cycle. Another more recent problem consumers are experiencing now is cracking the fragile LCD screen on this device. It's roughly as durable as an eggshell. Once the LCD is broken you cannot use this camera. Don't be tempted to buy a used one without the LCD... it's useless. Lastly, when the camera is working properly, it does not perform nearly as well as other cameras in its 2007 class - there are many cameras that produce better pictures at lower retail prices. When I presented a working version of this camera to many friends and family I COULD NOT TRADE OR EVEN GIVE IT AWAY for FREE. My friends and relatives liked their Fujitsu, Nikon or Canon ALOT better. Don't give into the temptation to pick up this inexpensive 8MP camera; you WILL be dissapointed.

Great Camera!!
This camera is my first digital camera and it takes fantastic pictures. My family and I went to Ripley's Believe it or not in St. Augustine and the photos came out great.. outside and inside. Outside I used the general (auto) setting and inside I used the museum setting. All the pictures came out amazing.

Kodak EasyShare m753
I am very unhappy with this camera. For the first few weeks/months, it took pretty good pictures and acted like the easy and cheap point and shoot we needed. After less than 6 months of use though, about 80% of the pictures turn out to be terrible. It acts like it forgot how to focus.
The one saving grace for me on this one is that it takes really good video for a camera this size/price. I think it's listed as 12 or 15 fps but it really impressed me with it's quality and ability to pick up sound. Not enough to give it another star though. For most practical intents and purposes, this camera is a piece of junk.

Love it!
Both my husband and I own this veruy camera. He bought his in the copper color long before I bought mine in black, and we both love this camera. it is the best digital camera either of us have ever used. It is also very durable. They have both been dropped onto hard surafces and they still work like brand new. The picture quality is also top notch. I carry mine everywhere I go which came in handy the other day when we were hit by a person who ran a red light. The pictures I took after the accident helped to show the insurance company how bad the damage is. For the best quality photos, this camera is the one, just make sure to set it to the highest mega-pixel setting(just like with any other camera, the higher the better). You wont be able to take as many pictures, but I have an 8GB SDHC card in my camera so I'm not worried about running out of room.

almost perfect
I bought this to replace my c 330 which still works. I thought it was great; the lcd screen is a little fuzzy indoors, but that was mainly the only thing. Very sleek design. Takes great close up pictures, and with it on fire work mode you get the fire works really clear. Really big screen.

It is OK...
My fourth digital camera. I've taken really good pictures with this camera, however I think that with another camera they would be even better :p It does not really focus too sharp, so sometimes when you take a picture in that perfect moment it may be blurry. Good amount of sceen settings and good panoramic pictures. For the money you can get a better one I think.

Disappointed
I was very excited to find this particular camera and was sure it would be as stated on the selling page.............but it came 1 week late and without parts like the plug for the computer to charge it so kinda useless for my daughter this Christmas unless I go out and buy a docking station, of which, i have no funds left so I am hoping the seller sends me all the parts so the camera is useful..............VERY disappointed

Questions & Answers
Question : Transfering pictures from Kodak digital camera to Dell Desktop?
I recently reformatted my hard drive. Before I would plug my Kodak digital camera in and then a menu would pop up and I could transfer my pictures from my camera to my Dell Dimenson 3000 desktop. I could also do some minor editing like the darkness and cropping. Now when I plug in the camera, nothing happens. Do I need to reinstall a driver or software. I had whatever was standard/came with the computer. What do I need to get it back to the way it was before I reformatted the computer?
I already have the CD that came with camera and tried D/L software from Kodak. Both are the same. I don't like that program, too complicated. I am looking for the program that came with the computer, but not sure what it would be called.
Answer:
If you go to the Kodak website, you can type in the model of the camera that you have and it will give you the option of downloading the updated drivers for your camera as well as the updated "EasyShare" software. No need to look for you CD that came with the camera. You may have to register on the site but it's ad/spy-free anyway and you can opt-out of emails. Hope that helps.

Question : I have a "dinosaur" (old, big) Kodak digital camera. How do I get it to install to my computer?
I called Kodak support and they no longer provide support for my model, the DX3500. However, the rep did tell me that it is compatible with Kodak's EasyShare software. I lost the software it came with in a move. Beyond that, I am clueless.
When I plug my USB into the computer, nothing happens, the Easyshare software that I downloaded does not automatically pop up. When I try and install the camera in "Control Panel" my model does not come up on the list, so it says to to use the software.
Is there something about being the administrator of the computer???
Any help you have would be great. I have 400+ pictures of my NB twins on my camera that I cannot download and need to get a new camera when I can afford one! So any tips you have are greatly appreciated since I'm stuck with this one in the meantime!
Thanks!

But when I went back for the second time I can't remember how I uploaded the pictures in the first place. I'm extremely challenged when it comes to electronics. Can anyone help me please???? Question : i recently broke the internal screen of my kodak digital camera. Is it fixable?
the camera was a kodak c513 eashy share camera. the external screen isn't cracked, but the internal screen is. the camera only costs about $85, but it is sold out in most stores.
how much would it cost to fix, if at all fixable?
Answer:
It can be fixed, but it would probably cost $85 to fix, or more. So, you must ask yourself, is this worth fixing? You can easily get a much better camera for $100, or an even better one for $150. Personally, I would just buy a new camera.

Question : I have a Kodak Digital Camera and it got wet, how can I fix it myself?
I have a Kodak Easy Share Z740 Digital Camera that was sent to get repaired but the extendant warranty does not cover water/moisture getting into the camera. My dad is going to kill me when he finds out!! I'm in a hurry,Please help me.
Answer:
If you have to ask you don''t have the technical ability yourself. Look in your phone book and see if there is a local camera repair centre and pay for the repair yourself.
As this camera is a low end one it may not be worth the cost of repairing it. Maybe a replacement is in order.
Have you ever thought of being honest with your father? As a parent I know I would prefer the last option.
Good luck

Question : Has anyone used the new Kodak digital camera to take sports pics in a high school gym?
I have a camera but the pictures always come out blury. I was told I need a stableization in my camera like the new Kodak has. I want to make sure if I get that camera it will work fine. It is frustrating because I want to take good action shots of my son on the court and they come out blury. Any feedback?
Answer:
sorry you heard that.
a stabilizer takes away your hand shaking not an object moving.
the light in a gym seems bright.
but, it fools the camera.
if you write an email to me and tell me what kind of camera you have - I might be able to help you.
the best thing you can do without changing the camera settings - is to get as close as you can and use the flash.

Question : Can i somehow put filters on my tiny kodak digital camera??
I have a small kodak digital camera, it's just plain digital. It doesn't even have a "mm" sized lense. Just a regular digital camera. is there a way to adapt lenses to it? would they be effective if i had to rig up something? or would the become deffective because of the distance between the lens and the filter?
Answer:
what sort of filters do you want to add to it? in this age of digital photography the only useful filter would be a UV filter for protection, any other effects could be replicated in digital editing. If you do want effects without editing, you could get away with holding up a filter to the lens but, really, why? and yes, the further you hold from the lens, the more distortion you will get. but hey, try it. no harm can come...
