Customer Review :
Great little camera.
I am by no means a photographer. I use my camera for primarly one reason: to take pictures of my kids. This camera is great. It's user-friendly and the software that comes with it is as well. Everything is easy with this camera - not to mention I love the color!
Rating :
Pretty Camera, but HORRIBLE Photo Quality!!!
I bought this camera thinking it would be the perfect little thing to carry around.... boy oh boy was I wrong. Now unless it was a manufaturer's defect, this camera was a little piece of junk! Complicated with horrible grainy, blurry photos. I would not recommend this camera to anyone looking for a decent yet simple point and shoot camera!
Rating :
Super Compact, good image quality, some limitations involved..
The Finepix Z5 is an excellent super-compact point-and-shoot digital, with, of course, some serious limitations. I got it mostly because I wanted an inconspicuous (no extending lens-also equals more longevity) candid camera I could carry in my pocket. It works well for that, although sometimes the cover slides open in my pocket..no matter, go into the Setup and make sure it shuts itself OFF after 2 minutes! The image quality is very good for such a small sensor, even up to ISO 800, and there's also an ISO 1600 under the F button, but that's pretty much "emergency use only". There aren't a lot of manual settings for this little camera either, but if you meter around the highlights and use a -1/3 to -2/3 exposure compensation setting you can do well in most lighting situations. There's also the nice Fujifilm "Natural and Flash" setting that let's you see flash and non-flash photos side by side, and the Chrome setting for more vivid colors. The flash has limited range, but does OK within that range-I don't use flash unless I have to anyway. I do miss having an optical viewfinder, as some of the ultracompact Sonys have, but I wasn't willing to pay twice as much for a Sony. All in all, this is a good and super-portable little camera.

Great pictures from an easy to carry camera
The photos I've taken with this camera are outstanding - crystal clear. And I'm NOT that great a photographer. I keep the camera in an inside pocket of my purse - it takes up virtually no room. My only complaint would be that I forget how certain things work between uses - it could be more menu-user friendly. overall - i'm thrilled with this camera.

Customer Review :
Hmm just ordered this
I got this and sent it right back - the S5200 is just fine by me - this one has the one thing I wanted - the zoom capability during video taping BUT it had little else to justify the 100 or so more dollars over my S5200 - and the lens was bulky and huge and that was how the zoom worked - unlike the ease of the S5200 which has two small in and out buttons on the back that I can use with my same shutter hand during concerts. It might be fine for other things but not for live concerts where you are trying to watch the show and do too many things at the same time

Very rich Colours in Day Light
I had tried Sony DSC H9, Canon S3 IS but compared to all of this i found this to be very good. We can play around with photos when we set it to Program Mode & Manual Mode. In day light i get very rich colors but when it is cloudy you may have to increase exposure.

Wonderful Professional Camera
I am a professional photographer, and I must say I dont mess with the hassle of a costly SLR with even more costly additional lenses. I use the Fuji S9000 camera as my main camera, and the Fuji S5200 as my back up. Both cameras give excellent photo quality. I bought the Fuji S9000 for the hot shoe mount, the megapixels, and the zoom. It works beautifully. Im even thinking about buying a second one so I have two just incase. I highly recommend this product. If you want to see photos using the camera, go to my website www.jessicanigrophotography.com.

LOVE this camera!
I really love this camera. I debated between this on and the Rebel XTI. And I'm so glad I choose this one! Not only is it cheaper but comparing pictures with others Rebel pictures it blew them out the of the water. Settings take a little work. Flash is a little bright at close range. But nothing a cheap diffuser can't fix.

You just frame the shot, and Face Detection does the work, simultaneously and accurately finding up to 10 faces for bright, clear results. i love this camera. it's sooooo cute! and i love the shining "z" when i take a picture! i love it!

Good For The Price
The lens being in the upper corner makes it real easy to get a finger in the picture. It takes some practice and it's something you have to be constantly aware of.
The slide cover is real easy to accidently open when you put it in your pocket or a camera case. You have to put it in in the direction that won't open the lens cover. I've run the battery down a couple times until I figured this out. Buy a spare battery.

Best Compact Camera for an Awesome Price
Pros: I have been on the hunt for a Compact, Cheap, Brand Worthy, and Simple Camera in the price range of $100-$150. This opens a huge market of different models, makers, and options. I decided that I wanted an Ultra Compact, simple, has the basic specs such as Image Stabilization, where I can easily point and shoot. Whether if I am at the park, a restaurant, party, or walking to my car. I was excited about the price for the Camera and the cheap replacement batteries you can find on the "bay". I also read almost all the professional reviews that popped up on Goggle search, around 13 reviews...YIKES and gave it Good-Great reviews. I also read COUNTLESS reviews on other Cameras that were in the same price range, but didn't fit all my needs. It came will a fully charged battery so I got to mess around with it right away. I love the menu settings where you can easily change settings from AUTO to Auction mode, the big, crisp 2.7" screen, slick and stylish design, and the PRICE!
Cons: none really. Thought my finger was going to interfere with the lens, but haven't had that problem. I can see it happen but the issue is very minimal.
My follow up and still LOVING it Pros: For people comparing this to a DSLR, or higher end, your argument has no merit. You have to take into factor specs, price, brand, and etc. For the price it packs in alot, any other ultracompact, non extending lens, you will have to spend nearly double or triple the amount. This was my first purchase from newegg and I am impressed. I will definitely buy from here again. After messing around with it, I also got to play around with the Fuji z20fd and I made the right decision by getting this one, Fuji z100fd. For you get the hang of the menu functions, it is quite simple. It has neat features such as Natural Mode where it takes 2 pictures with no flash and one with flash. It also has e-auction mode where it takes 4 pictures, so when you auction off stuff it is very simple and squeezes 4 pics in 1. Battery life is great. Video mode picks up sound well, and easy function. Has a neat illuminating Z after every picture taken. 2GB holds about 1000 pictures at the highest resolution.
Cons: Video mode is great in low light conditions but i advise to take videos in a well lit surrounding. I wish they had a better software but it does the usual when you sync it to the computer. Out of all the other brands software, it is the same. I find it easier to just pop out the SD card and put it in my computer.
Other Thoughts: This is truly a great product for an awesome price. I think that if you are looking to get something similar for a child or teenager, I recommend getting the Fuji z20fd. It looks more 'stylish' to the youth. It offers 3x zoom while the z100fd offers 5x Zoom. the Fuji z20fd has great reviews with 4.7/5 ratings across major review sites.

Big disappointment!
I normally research a lot before making a purchase decision, but this time it wasn't really the case. I wasn't very satisfied with my two-year old Olympus because of the poor quality of low light shots, so I bought this one. My boyfriend had a Fuji and it was a great camera, so I decided to give this one a shot.
Big mistake!
To make it short, here are the few nice things about it: - face identification feature - auction mode (nice feature, at least in theory. If you want to change the format after shooting the first picture(s) you lose the ones you've already taken.) - the possibility to use SD and XD memory cards
Now, this is the longer list, that of the problems I've had with this camera so far (in less than three months of usage, by the way):
- low light pictures are very bad unless you use a tripod - it takes too long for the pictures to be saved, so you cannot take one picture short after the other, which can be frustrating when shooting pictures of animals, children or sport - there's no way to turn off the option of having the picture shown after it's taken, so no way to save time before the next shot - manual settings are very poor - the menu is on the display, which seems to be a good idea at first, but it is not! That makes you lose a lot of reactivity. So if you see Tom Hanks (or whoever you might like) and want to make a movie instead of a picture, he'll be gone before you can change it from photo to video mode. A wheel does the job much faster! - there are all kinds of error messages: "writing error", "lense error", "card reading error", etc. And I get them way too often! - the software that came along with it could not be successfully installed on my computer and the camera won't be recognized as USB drive. As a result, I need to put the card in my old camera to be able to upload the pictures to my computer. - the lense got dirty from the inside, don't ask me how! This means that I cannot clean it and everytime I take a picture with flash, the result is an image full of stains.
I've worked with three different digital cameras before this one that didn't have most of this one's flaws.
I can only recommend you to stay away from it!!!

The camera is fine as long as nothing goes wrong. Fuji has the worst customer service I have ever delt with. They pass you from one person to another and do everything they can not to help you. Be prepared to deal with the worst customer service in the business. I really hope this helps you.

Very good compact camera
I am very satisfied with this camera. It takes excellent pictures and videos for its size. You have to keep in mind its size before judging the results. Portability, build quality, picture quality, and price makes this camera a best buy.
You don't need to install camera software to access the pictures. Windows XP detects the camera once the USB cable is connected. You can copy your images and videos and paste them into your PC's folder.
Simple and easy to use controls and menus make this product user friendly.
Two complaints that I have are: 1) Uses xD card. I wish it used SD card so I could reuse the cards between my other camera. 2) Must take out the battery to charge it. I wish I could charge it within the camera. 3) It forgets the date setting once battery is removed (for charging). So, every time you charge the battery, you have to set the date and time.
Because of this device, we now have many more pictures (memories) than we would have otherwise had. My other camera (Canon S2 IS) can take much better quality pictures and videos, but it is too big to carry everywhere.
Rating :
Good pics, bad camera
I was impressed with the small size and clear photos my sister was getting with this camera and bought it without hesitation . . . but I've regretted it ever since.
First off, everything is proprietary - your current USB cables and card readers WILL NOT WORK WITH THIS CAMERA. It comes with a special Fuji brand USB cable, a special Fuji brand battery and needs special fuji brand XD memory cards (more expensive and not compatible with most card readers). If you don't bring all that with you, you can't plug this camera into a computer.
Also, there's no viewfinder on this camera. The large screen on the back is nice to look at, but saps the battery life quickly. Speaking of battery, the indicator shows the battery as being fully charged for ages and then suddenly blinks almost empty before shutting off unexpectedly. This happened both with the battery that came with the camera and the extra battery I bought.
As if I wasn't unhappy already, things quickly started malfunctioning. After 5 mos many buttons stopped working, and now all the buttons on the back panel stopped, making the camera almost unusable (I can't get into the menus, turn on/off the flash, etc).
Yes, the camera takes good pics and has a nice screen, but you have to cart around the special Fuji brand cables & cards which you spent a lot more buying. Add in the fact that it seems to break down easily and it's an overall user.
I won't be buying another Fuji point and shoot.
Rating :
Half the time it's wonderful - but, if your memories are important, don't depend on this one!
This is my second Fuji digital camera. The first one was wonderful, and I assumed this one would be also, but after a year of use I am very disappointed. I'm not a professional photographer, I just need a point and shoot that is dependable on vacation and at special events. My f470 is in working order - what makes this camera undependable has something to do with the design.
The biggest problem with the F470 is the design of the LCD screen. It's simply horrid when you're taking outdoor pictures. The screen may be large but in bright sunlight it's next to impossible to see what you're going to get. It's just 2.5 inches of darkness. My previous Fuji had a viewfinder; there was no problem seeing what I was shooting - in any level of light.
The LCD screen is also difficult to see from any sort of an angle. So, unless I'm holding the camera in front of my face, I have only a vague idea of what I'm photographing.
The screen is a battery hog and it doesn't seem to bring much to the table on this camera model.
Another problem with this camera is that a good 30 percent of my shots are fuzzy and blurry. I know my hands don't shake perceptibly. This has been more of an issue with this camera than with any other I've ever owned (And I've owned quite a few in my life.)
The software, while not horribly difficult, is not especially user friendly either. The editing features are so limited that I felt it was necessary to purchase another photo editing software package just to satisfactorily crop and resize the shots.
All that being said, when everything comes together the f470 can take a nice clear, bright picture.
However, I've lost so many irreplaceable shots because of the limitations of this camera that I'm ready to put it aside and purchase a new camera with stabilization, a view finder in addition to the LCD screen, and the more easily found SD cards.
Two and a half stars - not recommended.

Wow! I am amazed at the picture quality.
We purchased three of these cameras for our children (well young adults) all in different colors. The first thing to grab my attention was the ease of use the second was the quality of the picture this camera was producing. My Husband and I purchased a Sanyo several months prior to buying these and we were happy with it until we saw the quality of the pictures of this camera. One of the features I like the best is the slide on the front turns the camera on and off, in addition to that it protects the lens. Now if they could design a camera to protect both the LCD and the Lens that would be perfect. I really like this camera.

Questions & Answers
Question : Can you use a regular memory chip with a fuji camera?
So im gonna buy a Fuji digital camera,
and I already have a SanDisk memory chip.
Are they compatable with Fuji's?
Answer:
Most Fuji digital cameras use XD memory cards. However, some of them, Fuji FinePix S700 is one example, uses both XD and SD memory cards. So it really depends on the Fuji camera you are getting which card or cards you would need.
ps ... San Disk is a memory card company who makes SD, XD, and Memory Stick cards

Question : Fuji digital camera is very cheap. Do I have any reasons not to buy it?
I just compared it with other brand with the same spec. Fuji is about 40-50% cheaper than other popular brands. Is it worse than others?
Answer:
They actualyl pretty good, Fujifilm camera to digital kinda late compare to other, but fujifilm was like the king in film camera. Fujifilm Digital camera has some of the very best camera sensor and great design. However it lack some friendly mode scene as other offer, but fuji does take very nice picture.

Question : what is the likely cost of sending a fuji digital camera to fuji for a minor repair?
what is the likely cost of sending a fuji digital camera to fuji for a minor repair?
Answer:
courier will be around $10. usually they will call you when they get your camera and determine what's wrong and tell you how much it costs. a "minor" repair could be under $100. you can call their customer service phone number and they might have an idea as to the cost.
I would shop around and get prices for new cameras so when they call you to tell you how much it is you'll know if it's better to buy a new one.

Question : Do you know what kinda battery the Fuji Z10 digital camera uses?
i am interested in purchasing the Fujifilm FinePix Z10fd 7.2-Megapixel Digital Camera-pink. Is anybody aware of what sort of battery it uses?? And is it a good camera? Any problems?
Answer:
NP-45
The sites that I found talked about how the battery didn't last long too.

Question : zoom error on fuji digital camera, how much would it cost to fix it?
It is a fuji finepix f650. Would it be worth sending the camera to the factory to fix or buy a new one? I've only had the camera for 7 months but I did not keep the receipt and the box.
Answer:
If it's a zoom error that requires you to replace the lens on the camera, the parts and labor could run as high as the $200-250 range, but the only way to figure out exactly how much it would cost would be contact Fuji. Try calling their factory service center; they'll be able to tell you if it's something that's under warranty or if you'll have to pay for the repairs yourself, and should be able to give you a ballpark figure for the cost to you.

Question : extra zoom lenses for the Fuji finepix s700 digital camera.?
I was wondering what kind of extra zoom lenses can be purchased for the Fuji s700 digital camera. If I can buy extra lenses, where would I find them. I am from Canada. I will mostly use this camera at a race track 80% of the time it will be night.
Answer:
It has a 10X optical zoom. Fuji doesn't offer any "front lens" add-ons. There may be some "after market" ones offered but they would probably be a waste of money.

I just purchased a Fuji digital camera F40fd. I take pictures in low light and I understand that the Fuji cameras are good for low light photography. I noticed that the camera got warm after taking a couple of pictures also when the lense goes in and out of the camera it grinds a bit especially between the review mode and setting it back to picture mode. I was looking for a F31fd camera or a F45fd camera but could not find one anywhere. So I am wondering if I made the right choice buying the F40fd? I have a couple of days to make up my mind and then I can either exchange the camera or keep the camera. I do not know what to do.I already own a Fuji camera a A820 and the pictures are fairly decent on that camera. I just wanted to bascially up grade that camera because I wanted a smaller more compact camera that worked well in low light. Did I make the right choice?
Answer:
This is a discontinued model. I would recommend a Canon camera over Fuji. Depending on how much you spent on the camera, another choice would be the Canon SD1100 IS. The PowerShot SD1100 IS Digital ELPH features ISO 1600 and High ISO Auto settings that reduce the effects of camera shake and sharpen subjects in low-light situations, giving you greater shooting flexibility. It's small and compact, and the Elph series has been known for it's superior quality for years.

Question : Is Fuji a decent brand of digital camera? ?
I' m interested in purchasing a new digital camera..Fuji seems to offer more bang for the buck! ( higher mp and optical zoom) Does anyone have personal experience with the fuji brand. What brand would you suggest in buying a digital camera, if not Fuji. I have a Canon and really like it, but they seem much pricier.
Answer:
Yeah Fuji makes good cameras. I have one.
Basically, Fuji, Canon, Nikon, Sony, Panasonic - they all make good cameras.
