Question : extra zoom lenses for the Fuji finepix s700 digital camera.?
I was wondering what kind of extra zoom lenses can be purchased for the Fuji s700 digital camera. If I can buy extra lenses, where would I find them. I am from Canada. I will mostly use this camera at a race track 80% of the time it will be night.
Answer:
It has a 10X optical zoom. Fuji doesn't offer any "front lens" add-ons. There may be some "after market" ones offered but they would probably be a waste of money.

Question : Where can I find a case for the Fuji S700 digital camera?
I don't want anything like a camcorder case, if you know what I mean. I only want a case for the camera, no extra storage or something fancy like that...
Answer:
Well, at this point, Fuji doesn't make a camera only case for the S700, so it's unlikely you'll find one. The best you might be able to do is use an existing case for another camera that fit's it closely enough.
Alternatively other companies do offer holster bags made to fit just the camera and at most an additional flat pocket for memory cards, lens cleaning cloth, etc. I'd look at bags from Lowe Pro or Tamrac.

Question : Just bought a 2nd hand Fuji Finepix digital camera. What does Frame Numbering (Continuous, Renew) mean?
All I got was the camera, no manual with it or anything, but one of the shooting options is called Frame Numbering and you can choose from Continuous or Renew. Does anyone know what this means?
Answer:
It didn't come with the manual? How very odd.
Continuous means when you use the next memory card, the photo number (as in, 1, 2, 3 and so on), continues onto next card.
Renew means the next card, it resets to 1 (if it's empty, that is).
I think I am guessing correctly. I use Canon and I am certain they work the same way.

Question : Can I fix my Fuji Finepix digital camera?
I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to fix a zoom problem with my Fuji Finepix A345. I've never even dropped it or gotten it wet but for some reason there is a problem with the lense. Often when I turn it on the lense won't come out all the way like it is stuck and makes noises. Then sometimes when it does come out it is blurry and when I try zooming it or focusing it it won't work.
Answer:
I'm sure you didn't do anything to it, but unfortunately, I doubt there is anything you can do to it to make it NOT have the error with the lens. It sounds like your lens will need to be replaced.....but there is always a possibility it may be jammed. However, in the camera repair shop I work in, this kind of problem is almost ALWAYS because the lens needs to be replaced. If it's still under warranty and you haven't dropped it or anything like that, I would send it in to Fuji directly. If it's out of the warranty, you'd be better off replacing it since repairs are around the cost of this camera when it was new. Hope that helps.

Question : Anyone know of a great Olympus or Fuji point-and-shoot digital camera?
I'm looking for details here... I have lots of xD memory and my camera has gone belly up... anyone have feedback on current Olympus or Fuji digital cameras?
Answer:
Between those two brands...sorry, but Olympus is a brand I would never consider (due to it's so-so photo quality).
The Fujifilm Finepix F30, however, is a compact point & shoot camera that performs extremely well in low light (high ISO, handheld, no flash). No other compact can compete with it in this area. I would buy it for that capability alone.
So, if you want a compact camera particularly for low light situations, then it's the one to get. It also has great battery life of up to 580 shots.
The newer, F31 fd, is a minor update but hasn't been reviewed as yet.
But, if you ever decide to invest in SD memory, then have a look at Canon ;-)

Question : zoom error on fuji digital camera, how much would it cost to fix it?
It is a fuji finepix f650. Would it be worth sending the camera to the factory to fix or buy a new one? I've only had the camera for 7 months but I did not keep the receipt and the box.
Answer:
If it's a zoom error that requires you to replace the lens on the camera, the parts and labor could run as high as the $200-250 range, but the only way to figure out exactly how much it would cost would be contact Fuji. Try calling their factory service center; they'll be able to tell you if it's something that's under warranty or if you'll have to pay for the repairs yourself, and should be able to give you a ballpark figure for the cost to you.

Question : Is Fuji a decent brand of digital camera? ?
I' m interested in purchasing a new digital camera..Fuji seems to offer more bang for the buck! ( higher mp and optical zoom) Does anyone have personal experience with the fuji brand. What brand would you suggest in buying a digital camera, if not Fuji. I have a Canon and really like it, but they seem much pricier.
Answer:
Yeah Fuji makes good cameras. I have one.
Basically, Fuji, Canon, Nikon, Sony, Panasonic - they all make good cameras.

Question : fuji digital camera reverts back to japanese?
Fuji F10 camera purchased in Japan, has started corrupting files making precious photos unreadable on a computer but they can be viewed on the camera. Re-formatting the XD memory card is the only answer to making it usable again. Another issue is that the camera settings revert back to original Japanese and the date resets back to 2005 at random. Fuji tech support did not recognise the fault and their only recomendation was to return camera for service but this investigation would cost more than a new camera. Anyone else experienced similar problems?
the camera is not designed exclusively for the Japanese market. It is identical to the F10 available in Britain.
Answer:
FUJI cameras often have Firmware Updates, which you should try prior to return it to FUJI for servicing!
Here's the link for your model.
Help that solves your problems ;-)
